Mealy - What should I cook?
Meal planner & grocery list
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Tell Mealy who's eating and how each person eats. Get the week's meals, recipes scaled to your table, a shopping list for what's missing, and party menus.
What should I cook today? Mealy decides for you, for the whole week.
Tell it who eats at your table and how each person eats. Mealy plans breakfast, lunch and dinner for seven days, with the recipe, the nutrition and the shopping list for every dish.
PLANNED FOR YOUR HOUSEHOLD
• Choose the cuisines you cook, from 19: North, South, East and West Indian, Italian, Chinese, Thai, Mexican, Levantine and more.
• Add up to 12 people. A child counts as 0.6 of a serving, so you cook for the people actually eating.
• Give each person a diet: vegan, vegetarian, egg-vegetarian or non-vegetarian, with the meats they eat.
• Allergies and dislikes stay off the whole household's plan.
• When one dish doesn't suit everyone, Mealy plans a second dish beside it.
• Pick how the week should eat: Gym, Very Healthy, Healthy, Balanced or Junk.
• Say how long you have for each meal, and longer dishes stay off the plan.
CHANGE IT WHENEVER YOU LIKE
• Swap any meal that's still ahead and choose from three other dishes that suit your household.
• Rebuild the rest of the week. Meals already cooked stay as they are; the new plan starts at your next meal.
• No dish repeats within four days.
• Add your own family recipes. They join the plan and the shopping list like any other dish.
COOK WITHOUT GUESSING
• Over 200 recipes, with ingredients scaled to your household, numbered steps, and prep and cook times.
• Calories, protein, carbs, fat and fibre per serving.
• Cook Mode shows one large step at a time and can read it aloud. It runs the timers in each step, keeps count of pressure-cooker whistles and keeps the screen awake.
• Short of an ingredient? See what to use instead, and whether your pantry already has it.
• Not sure what to make right now? See which dishes your pantry can cover.
SHOP ONCE, WASTE LESS
• A shopping list for the next one, two or three days, minus what's already in your kitchen.
• Grouped by how often you buy things: the quick top-up, the weekly shop, the monthly staples.
• Tick off what you buy and it moves to your pantry. Mark a meal cooked and its ingredients come back out.
• The pantry shows what to use up first, and the plan favours dishes that use it.
• Share the list, sorted by aisle, to Notes, Reminders or Messages.
FEAST MODE
Hosting a party? Enter the number of guests, how many are vegetarian, the occasion and the serving time. You get a menu for the crowd, its own shopping list, and a timeline that counts back from serving time: what to marinate, prep and start, and when. Your weekly plan isn't touched.
REMINDERS
Optional nudges before each meal, naming the dish, and an evening reminder of what to buy for the days ahead.

FREE, OR PRO WITHOUT ADS
Mealy is free with ads. The free version plans the whole week and includes 3 meal swaps a week, a shopping list for the next day and one feast a month. Watch a short ad for an extra swap or feast, or to shop further ahead for the rest of the day.
Mealy Pro removes all ads and gives you unlimited swaps, unlimited feasts and shopping lists up to three days ahead. It's a monthly or yearly subscription.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel them in your Apple Account settings.
Mealy needs an internet connection when you open it. Your household, plan and pantry are stored on your device.
Nutrition figures are estimates per serving, not medical or dietary advice. Always check the ingredients before cooking for someone with an allergy.

Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
• Staples you tick during setup, like salt, spices and eggs, now count as already in your kitchen. They no longer show as missing or end up on your shopping list.
• The summary above your plan (health level, calories, protein, fried dishes) now updates as soon as you change the health level and replan.
• The keyboard no longer stays open between setup questions.
• The health-level step now says Continue, since two more questions follow it.
