Proofline: Proof Tape
Stamp what already happened
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Proofline: Proof Tape is a personal record of what already happened — not a to-do list and not a task planner. When something leaves your hands, lands on a desk, gets paid, returned, picked up, or confirmed, you stamp it with the person and object involved so you can find that trail later.
WHO IT IS FOR
Anyone who keeps day-to-day handoffs on faith and later needs a receipt trail: contracts and badges, invoices and cash, gear loans, keys and packages, desk returns, and “I already sent that” moments. If you have ever searched messages for proof that something moved, Proofline is built for that gap.
CORE IDEA
Every stamp is a past action tied to a person and an object. Object spines chain those stamps from the first event toward close, so each item has a readable history instead of scattered notes. Your circle shows who keeps showing up on the tape. Digest summarizes proof coverage and open chains still waiting on return or confirm. Lookup finds stamps by person, object, or note when you need the trail fast.
STAMP KINDS
Stamp sent, received, paid, handed, returned, picked up, confirmed, and registered events. Attach a short note and mark whether proof is on file so coverage stays honest. Compose a new stamp from Tape when something just happened; open any stamp to review or continue the chain on its object spine.
TAPE
The Tape tab is your chronological proof reel. Browse the day, scan recent stamps, and see coverage signals that show how much of your trail carries proof. Jump into a stamp for detail, or start a fresh stamp without leaving the flow of the day.
SPINES
Spines group stamps by object. Open a spine to follow one item from the first event toward close — useful when a badge, invoice, tool, or package is still in motion. Sort and focus on open chains first when something still needs return or confirmation.
CIRCLE
Circle surfaces the people linked to your stamps. See who appears most often on the tape, open a person for their related stamps, and keep social context next to the objects you track — without turning Proofline into a chat app.
DIGEST
Digest is the coverage window: how much of your recent tape carries proof, which chains are still open, and where the trail is thin. Use it as a quick audit before you close the day or follow up on a handoff that never came back.
LOOKUP
Lookup searches across people, objects, and notes. Recent queries stay handy so repeat checks are one tap. When someone asks “did you already return it?”, search the object or person and open the matching stamp trail.
ONBOARDING AND SETTINGS
A short onboarding helps you name yourself and place a first sample stamp so the tape is never an empty wall. Settings shows stamp and spine counts, proof coverage, and open chains. Reload demo day restores a dense sample day for exploration. Replay onboarding if you want the first-run walkthrough again. Clear all stamps when you want a blank tape. Privacy Policy opens from Settings.
SHARE-FRIENDLY TRAILS
When you need to show a stamp outside the app, use the system share sheet from stamp detail so a proof line can travel with the conversation that needs it.
WHY NOT A NOTES APP
Generic notes bury handoffs in paragraphs. Proofline forces every entry into a stamp shape — event kind, person, object, proof flag — so Lookup and Spines can answer who, what, and whether proof exists without re-reading a diary. Digest then audits the window instead of leaving you to scroll blindly.
DAILY RHYTHM
Stamp as things happen. Check Digest before you leave. When someone follows up days later, Lookup the object or person and open the spine. Keep the tape honest: mark proof only when you actually have it on file.
DESIGNED AS A LOCAL TAPE
Proofline keeps your stamps on this device for everyday handoffs you want on record. Only what already moved, who was involved, and whether proof is on file.
Open Proofline when the question is not “what should I do next?” but “what already happened — and can I show it?”
