Bitcoin Block Monitor presents the Bitcoin network as an interactive chronological filmstrip. The selected block always remains in the center while you move backward and forward through blockchain history.

BROWSE BLOCK HISTORY
Move through recent and historical Bitcoin blocks using the mouse, trackpad or keyboard.
Previously loaded blocks are stored in a local cache. When you continue into an uncached part of the blockchain, the required information is loaded automatically.
Search for a specific block by:
• Block height
• Block hash
• Date and time
Use Latest Block to return directly to the current end of the blockchain.
INSPECT EVERY BLOCK
Select a block to examine its details:
• Mining time and identified mining pool
• Number of transactions
• Block size and block weight
• Block subsidy
• Total transaction fees
• Fee-rate distribution
• Block hash
• Previous block hash
• Merkle root
• Nonce and difficulty information
• Number of confirmations
INTERACTIVE EXPLANATIONS
Bitcoin terminology can be difficult to understand. Important terms throughout the interface are displayed as links.
Select a term such as Block Weight, Mempool, Fee Rate or Merkle Root to open the explanation sidebar at the relevant section.
The sidebar explains the Bitcoin blockchain step by step and relates the explanation to the currently selected block.

Bitcoin Block Monitor displays publicly available Bitcoin blockchain and network information.
The app:
• Does not create or manage a wallet
• Does not request recovery phrases or private keys
• Cannot send or receive Bitcoin
• Does not buy, sell or exchange cryptocurrency
• Does not require registration
• Stores its block cache locally on your Mac
Network data and market prices require an internet connection. Mempool values and fee recommendations are estimates from the selected data source and can change at any time.
Bitcoin Block Monitor is an independent monitoring and educational tool. It is not affiliated with Bitcoin Core, mining pools, exchanges or other Bitcoin services.
