You choose what the sitter gets. Share Emergency info and pick exactly what goes on the PDF: each person's allergies and doctor, each pet, each shutoff, your codes, and who to call. From a trip's checklist, the people and pets who are going start unticked, so the sheet covers whoever stays home. Every item has its own examples. A leaf blower, a chainsaw or a fridge no longer shows a mower's or a dishwasher's model and part numbers: each preset, in every category, has its own, in the spec rows and in the Look it up box. A hedge trimmer, a snow blower and a pressure washer get their own reminders too. Your first scan comes first. Setup now goes straight from your account to scanning one of your own labels, before anything about Plus. Fixed: matching a paint color uses one scan however many times you tap; washers and dryers get their own Capacity example; a home policy saved without a carrier is kept; a life insurance card scanned as a health card says where it belongs instead of filling Health (a Medicare or pharmacy card still fills it); numbers like 1-800-HOME-DEPOT dial correctly; the pet papers card says exactly what it added; and reminders say they come the morning something is due.

Trips, done properly. Add a vacation as one event: the whole date range, who's going (people and pets) and where. The calendar draws one bar across the days and the day list says "Day 3 of 8". Mark it Travel and Today says "Away Dec 20–27" while you're gone. Before you leave. A Travel event gets a checklist built from your own records: hold the mail, your thermostat and water heater by name, the water main and where it is, the trash day, who's looking after the pets, the reminders due while you're away, and Emergency info for the sitter. The evening before, a reminder says what's left, and tapping it opens the list. Emergency info for the sitter. Share it as a PDF with each shutoff's photos, everyone's allergies and doctors, your pets' vets and every number ready to dial. Each shutoff has its own page, photos first. Insurance for everyone. Life, disability and supplemental policies on each person, insurance on each pet, and your car policy's premium and renewal date. Ask never hears a policy number. Look it up again. On an item or a vehicle you already have, run the lookup again and pick which rows the latest answer replaces; Undo puts it all back. A Plus feature; a household's included scans cover it too. Notes on anything. Every home item and vehicle has a Notes field: your fork and shock pressures, the filter that fits, what the tech said. Search finds them, and with Plus, Ask can read them. Keep codes in Codes & Access. Paint colors: tap a swatch for a grid of colors to pick a closer match, or Match the brand's color, which uses a scan when the color isn't on the built-in list. Examples everywhere. An empty category says what usually lives there, most categories have quick-add presets, and "See an example" shows how a full home keeps things, read-only. Also new: Find the manual on every item, an aisle filter on Shopping, and the roof and the root on the tab bar. Fixed: a tab you switch to opens at its top, and picking a paint color by hand lets you save.

Type a model number, get the whole spec sheet. On any item, type the brand and model number ("Honda HRN216VKA") and tap Fill in the rest: the specs, the part numbers and the service reminders fill in, with Undo if you change your mind. A Plus feature; a household's included scans cover it too. Paint, with the color. The paint-can scan now returns the finish as its own field and a color swatch for every color, labelled approximate. Tap the swatch to pick a closer color by hand. Bikes get a real build list. Every kind of vehicle now has its own part categories (bikes: frame, fork and shock, drivetrain, brakes, cockpit and more), a bike type, a spec sheet that fits, and a stock-build lookup for the parts that came on it. E-bikes get a battery checkup reminder. Emergency info, one shutoff at a time. Add the water, gas, electric panel and sprinkler shutoffs as separate entries with a photo of each. Pick anyone from your iPhone Contacts, and choose who shows on Emergency info with a switch on each contact. We copy only the one person you pick, never your address book. Finished a project? A short "It's done" sheet records what it actually cost, when, and who did it, and adds it to Home history. Home history now says Upgrade, Repair and Upkeep. Dates that fit. Birthdays and purchase dates get the iPhone wheel (or type them), and a birthday can go without a year. Due dates keep the month grid. The calendar's Saturday column is back where it belongs. Set the first due date when you add something. Tap any suggested reminder's date to change it, or say when it was last serviced. Move an item to another category, with its reminders, history and photos. A photo for each person, and the first pet photo, on every plan. Calmer motion: nothing bounces. Plus fixes: Ask's suggested questions only ask what your records can answer, every scan started from a card asks camera, library or type it in, and Erase and start over now removes stored photos and documents too.

Every service, on the record. • Service history. Each time you mark a reminder done, Roof & Root keeps a record. Your vehicle and item pages list every service, newest first, and the last time you checked off each reminder is there too. • Details when you want them. A tap on the circle still marks it done. Press and hold to add the date, the odometer, the cost, who did it, notes or a receipt photo, or to change how often it repeats from now on. • Done a while ago? Pick the day it was done and the reading at the time. • Every odometer reading you enter is kept, with the day it was read. • Registration that follows the DMV. Renewing moves the vehicle's expiry to its next date, counted from when it was due, not the day you paid. Pick a 1-year, 2-year or other term for each vehicle. • Binders with real history. The handover binder lists every service with its date, reading, cost and who did it, and the Sale Binder lists your home items' services. • Undo puts it all back, including the odometer and the registration date. • Mileage you can trust. Tap Done on an oil change and, if the odometer reading is old, the note says how old it is, or that it's the last reading you entered. Tap Change to fix the number, or That's right if it's correct, and the reminder's next nudge by miles counts from it. • Recalls, said carefully. Roof & Root asks NHTSA under more spellings of your car's model and shows do-not-drive and park-outside recalls in amber. When NHTSA lists none, it says so for that name, and Check with your VIN is always there. Homes in Canada get a link to Transport Canada. • A better start. Start mine on the example home now walks you through setting up your own, and a homeowner's first care plan covers the whole year, with the air filter every 3 months. • No doubles. Adding a furnace, AC or water heater no longer adds a second filter or service reminder your plan already has. • Home history in two numbers: what you've invested in your home, and what repairs and upkeep cost, now with the paid services you log on the house and its systems. • A new example home, made up from top to bottom: invented names, places, numbers and businesses. • Backups, said plainly. Settings says what a backup holds: every record. Photos and documents aren't in it yet, so email us for copies. Receipt photos work on every plan. They stay on this phone until you have an account, then back up with your other photos. Renewing a registration can record the odometer too, and binders now end with roofandroot.app.

Reminders on your schedule, and a long list of fixes. • Your schedule, your way. Any reminder can repeat every so many days, weeks, months or years. Car, boat and quad reminders can also go by miles or hours, whichever comes first. Change your oil every 3,000 miles? Set it once. • Renewals can count from the due date. Choose it once, and renewing early never moves the next one. • Plus for the whole family. When your household has Plus, every family member's phone scans and asks with it, and Settings says "Plus through your household." • Reminders you can count on. Repeating reminders keep arriving even when the app stays closed, and a service that's overdue by miles gets a nudge the morning after you update the odometer. • Fall care, on time. Adding the fall pack now schedules it for the next two weeks, not next year. • Edits you make offline, or before your first sync, are kept. • Smarter suggestions. A space heater no longer gets pool care, a thermostat no longer gets an air filter, and a nameplate scan won't add the same chore twice. • Safer to share. The Sale Binder lists only your home's pros, never your family's doctors or insurance, and leaves out door codes. Also fixed: engine hours with a decimal point, a registration reminder that came back after you edited a car, Ask giving last month's date for weekly events, shopping items from a family phone credited to the wrong person, Canadian postal codes, a price typed or pasted with cents counted as dollars ($89.95 saved as $8,995), a cancelled trial that still said Plus would start, documents lost when a note was saved mid-upload, forms cut off at the largest text sizes, a big import from another app that gave up too soon, a delete-account message that didn't say what happens to a household you share, a tap during setup that could open the example home and lose what you'd typed, an address saved without its state or ZIP code, which left nothing to look up, a Home history total that left out repairs and upkeep, a cost added to a finished project that never reached Home history, an invite code that someone with a household of their own couldn't use, an Account screen that offered to start a household while yours was still loading, and setup's "Up next" list, which led nowhere (each pick now waits in Getting started on Today).
