Everyone now gets a free Hint once in each bot game. Tap the lightbulb and it says where to look; Show me circles one move. Plus has Hint in every game, and Coach. After a game, the result screen suggests a next step (the next opponent after a clean win, one stone fewer after a handicap win, a head start after two losses) and shows what grew in your garden. The full-screen garden is new: the garden fills the screen and your plants sit in a sheet below it. The field guide lists every plant and landmark, shows how many grow in each garden, and takes you to them. Dusk and night gardens are easier to read, and on iPad the Garden tab uses both columns. See your garden in 3D: open the full-screen garden, choose View > 3D, then turn, tilt and zoom it with your fingers. With Plus, Key moments adds a graph of the lead across the whole game, and the result screen sums up what Coach flagged.

Coach and Hint, the Plus helpers for bot games, now work on 19×19 as well as 9×9 and 13×13. On the big board Coach only steps in for tactical mistakes, so it stays quiet. Starting a new game over one in progress can now resign the old game instead of discarding it, so it stays in your history.

Explore your garden: open it full screen, turn it, tilt it and zoom in, browse a list of its plants, tap one to see its details, and step between your gardens. The garden itself looks richer too, with a soil ground and larger plants. A small tick now marks the Path stops you have finished. A redesigned Play tab: a full-width Continue card that shows your game and whose turn it is, a Recent games list, Play again in one tap, and a new-game sheet that remembers your last board size, color and handicap. New with Go Garden Plus, for bot games on 9×9 and 13×13: Coach offers a quiet second try when a move gives up a lot. It is off by default; turn it on in Me. Hint is a lightbulb on your move. It tells you where to look, and Show me can circle one move.

A garden that grows while you're away: sprouts, moss and ferns mature as the days pass, quiet ground cover fills in beside them, Morning Dew moss gets its own dew-drop look, and opening a game's replay blooms its moss. Nothing wilts and there are no streaks. A winding Path: each section is its own page with its own scenery, from still water to mountain mist, with bigger stops and a "You are here" marker. Built for iPad: a sidebar to jump to a Path section or pick up your game, lessons and exercises beside the board, bigger boards in play, keyboard shortcuts, and a hover preview with a pointer. Native on iPhone: the standard tab bar, with the new glass look on iOS 26 that tucks away as you scroll. Opponent strength: every bot shows a strength number on 9x9, 13x13 and 19x19 boards. Also new: standard pickers in the new-game sheet, Mountain stays ready through a whole game, and Continue takes you back to where you were. Go Garden now needs iOS 18 or later.

A sharper ladder: opponents in five tiers from Seedling to Mountain, each with a style and habits you can learn to punish. Seedling adapts as you win, Grove got sharper, and Willow and Cedar join. A roomier Path: one section per page, with bigger steps along the garden path that show what each lesson teaches. A livelier garden: separate Learning, Practice and Play gardens, real seasons, and tap any plant to revisit what grew it. Plus adds garden themes. Practice that pushes back: a wrong move now shows what it allows. Handicap games: take 2–9 stones against any opponent. Review any game: open an .sgf from Files or paste one, and see its key moments. Fairer scoring: disagree about dead stones? Play on and settle it on the board. Also new: Paper, Slate and Kaya board styles, a game history with delete, and an optional live score estimate (turn it on in Me).

Key moments: after a game against a bot, Go Garden looks back and shows where the game turned, a stronger move, and why — right on your phone. Fairer scoring: at the end of a bot game, stones the engine thinks are dead are marked for you, and you can change them before finishing. Easier aiming on 13×13 and 19×19: drag to aim, and a crosshair shows exactly where your stone will go.

Go Garden is rebuilt around a garden of your own. • A new home. Plant and tend a garden that grows as you play, and turn the plot to see it from any angle. • The Path, a world you move through lesson by lesson, with a reward each time you finish a section. • Morning Dew, a new daily puzzle. • A gentler first run that sets your board size and opponent for you. • Redesigned board, in-game controls, and end-of-game summary. • Better Dynamic Type support, plus fixes to bot passing and scoring.
