Solidly is a 3D file viewer and editor for Mac. It opens glTF, GLB, USD, USDZ, FBX, OBJ, STL, PLY, 3MF, STEP, and IGES files, renders them, and displays their scene hierarchy, materials, textures, and metadata. Solidly works with files that already exist and does not include modeling or sculpting tools. Solidly can edit glTF, GLB, FBX, OBJ, STL, and PLY files and save them in the format they were opened from. You can rename and reorganize nodes, adjust transforms, edit materials and metadata, flip inverted faces, and generate texture coordinates for meshes that have none. glTF and GLB files can be saved with Draco, Meshopt, or KTX2 compression. USD, USDZ, 3MF, STEP, and IGES files can be viewed but not edited. Solidly supports deep USD inspection and can show each of the layers that make up a USD scene. STEP and IGES models can be measured, cut with a section plane, and shown in an exploded view. Solidly restores the materials of FBX and OBJ models whose textures are missing or unassigned. It recognizes the role of each texture image supplied with the model, such as base color, normal or roughness, and assembles the images into suggested materials that match the ones the model declares. Photo Mode renders still images of a model as PNG files up to 8K resolution, with support for orthographic cameras, depth of field, a movable key light, and transparent backgrounds. Solidly is free to download and includes a 30-day free trial with every feature available. When the trial ends, Solidly can no longer open, edit, or save models, use Photo Mode, or show Quick Look previews until you buy Solidly Standard, a one-time in-app purchase. The purchase does not expire and includes future versions of Solidly. Solidly requires a Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 26 Tahoe or later.
