init.Dither is a pattern generator that dithers. Tap shuffle and a new picture arrives. Like the pattern but not the colours? Shuffle only the colour, or only the pattern, the style or the mark, and lock the parts you want to keep. Open any section to set things yourself, down to the size of a single dot.
Every picture has a recipe: the list of settings behind it. The same recipe makes exactly the same picture again, on another device or at another size, from a lock screen to an A3 print.

• 12 structures: soft lights, ridgelines receding into a dithered sky, a fractal edge endlessly folded, spots and stripes that grew themselves, a swinging pen's one long line
• 16 marks, from fine grain to big blocks: halftone dots, ascii, pixels, hatching, stipple, tiles and gems
• 20 dithers: ordered grids, blue noise, error diffusion, and a curve that wanders the whole frame
• 102 palettes, from plain black and white to riso inks, film stocks and glowing terminal green, plus colours of your own
• Symmetry, mirror, polar, tile, twirl, ripple and warp, on any structure
• A second layer and a second style, blended together or split by tone
• Paper and screen grounds, glow, blur, grain, scanlines, bloom and halation

Discover
A feed of recipes other people made, arranged in shelves by colour and by structure. Open one as it is, or change it into something of your own. Share yours with just a name. There is no account, and only the recipe is uploaded, never an image.
Free, and unlimited when you want it
The whole app is free: every structure, mark, dither, palette and size. Save as many recipes as you like and export 5 of them as images, plus one more each month when you come back to claim it. A recipe you have exported stays free to export again, at any size.
Unlimited is a single payment, not a subscription. It lifts the export limit and adds more app themes, backgrounds and app icons. If you only need a couple more, there are packs of 2, 5 or 10 exports.
Also: 23 app themes, six sound kits, shake to shuffle, and an iCloud backup of your recipes, or a .dither file that is yours to keep.
