Mac

Hunker is a Pomodoro-style focus timer that lives quietly in your macOS menu bar. No account. No tracking. No internet connection required — ever. Hunker doesn't even ask macOS for permission to use the network, so your session history stays on your Mac and nowhere else. FREE, AND GENUINELY USEFUL • Work, short break and long break timers, all fully adjustable • Live countdown in the menu bar, with glanceable phase icons • Start, pause, resume, skip and reset • A notification when a session ends, with a choice of alert sounds • Unlimited session history — Hunker never deletes or throttles your own records • Today's focused time, sessions completed, and a rolling 7-day chart • Optional task label on every session • Launch at login LOOP PRO — ONE PURCHASE, NOT A SUBSCRIPTION Every new install gets 7 days of Hunker Pro free. After that, the free tier keeps working exactly as described above, and Pro is a single one-time purchase: • Extended stats: 30-day and all-time trends, current and longest streaks • The full macOS system sound library for completion alerts • Five appearance themes • A desktop widget showing today's focus time and your streak • Shortcuts and Siri support • CSV export of your complete history • Automatic pause when your Mac sleeps or the screen locks • A global keyboard shortcut to start and pause from anywhere • Colour-coded tags with a per-tag breakdown Hunker uses only what macOS provides. No third-party libraries, no analytics SDKs, and no network entitlement. Requires macOS 14 or later.
