Write requests are easier to confirm: LocalMCP restores a minimised window or opens a dedicated confirmation window when the main window is closed. Every request still requires your explicit permission. Connected clients receive clearer reasons when a request is declined, times out or is cancelled.

Connect Mail directly through selected Apple Mail mailboxes. Setup no longer requires finding a hidden data folder for this mode. Search and message reads use bounded requests and verify the selected source. Create, update and complete reminders: enable the new switch in Permissions and confirm each change individually in the app. Write access remains off by default. Improved German and English setup guidance and more reliable handling of permissions and search results.

Reopen the main window from the Window menu or with Command-0. Calendar and Contacts permissions are now requested through the native macOS dialog first; a refusal is respected. Calendar changes remain disabled by default and still require your confirmation.

Setup now helps with iCloud: clear guidance for Mail, Voice Memos and Photos, suggested local folders and copyable paths. You can set up optional sources later. Mail reads locally available Exchange and IMAP messages more reliably. Long message bodies can be read in full across multiple pages. Search supports precise date ranges and transparently reports unavailable local content.

This update adds macOS security protections for LocalMCP and its embedded MCP bridge. The interface updates views more selectively when data changes. Mail tools support flag colours and matching search filters. Access remains read-only. Your existing permissions and separate approval requirements for calendar changes and Shortcuts are preserved.
