Open them with ease. Create ZIP and 7z archives, open multipart RAR downloads, and browse your archives with LinaZip for Mac. Files are processed on your device. Archiving requires no account or internet connection. Start right from Finder Select files or folders, then choose Quick Compress, Quick Extract to Folder or Quick Extract Here from the Services menu. Choose LinaZip as the default app for supported file types to open them with a double-click. If the services are not visible, enable them in System Settings → Keyboard Shortcuts → Services. Choose your format and size • Create ZIP and 7z archives with optional passwords • Split ZIP and 7z archives using presets or a custom volume size • Create TAR, TAR.GZ, TAR.XZ and TAR.BZ2 archives • Choose compression levels, verify after creation and save reusable presets Open multipart downloads • Extract numbered ZIP and 7z volumes (.001, .002…) • Extract multipart RAR and RAR5, including solid RAR5 archives • Extract split ZIP sets containing .z01, .z02… and .zip • Get guidance when volumes are missing or incomplete Finish downloading every part and keep all parts in the same folder. Quick extraction processes each archive only once, even when you select several of its volumes. Extract ALZ/EGG and recover ZIP entries Browse supported ALZ and EGG archives and extract all files or selected items. ZIP recovery saves verified, intact entries from a damaged ZIP into a new archive. The original stays unchanged, and existing output files are never overwritten. Choose how older ZIP filenames are read If filenames look incorrect, select a Korean, Japanese, Chinese or Western codepage, or UTF-8, and reopen the archive. Names marked as UTF-8 retain their indicated encoding. Filename settings do not convert file contents. Stay in control • Browse archive contents and extract all or selected items • Check integrity, follow progress and cancel tasks • Skip existing files, keep both with a new name or replace files • View recent operations and interrupted-task information • Use English or Korean with light, dark and system appearance Supported limits ALZ/EGG extraction supports single, unencrypted, non-solid archives up to 256 MiB. Individual EGG blocks are limited to 256 MiB of decoded data. Encrypted, split and solid ALZ/EGG archives and certain advanced variants are not supported. ZIP recovery supports intact Store/Deflate entries in ZIPs up to 256 MiB, with a 512 MiB cumulative decoding limit for verification. Encrypted, split, ZIP64, data-descriptor and certain advanced-flag entries are excluded. Full recovery is not guaranteed. RAR, ALZ and EGG creation and password recovery are not included. Use ASCII letters, numbers and symbols for ZIP creation passwords; use 7z for Korean passwords. Before you start Requires macOS 13 or later on an Apple Silicon Mac. File and output-folder permission may be required. Creating or opening split archives needs additional temporary disk space. In-archive editing, nested previews and file-move tools are not included. LinaZip is not a full-fidelity backup tool for Mac app bundles, links, resource forks, Finder tags or ACLs. Keep important originals separately.
