Choose the dates of a trip. Trip Pics picks the sharpest, least repetitive photos, adjusts light and colour, and saves them to Photos. Analysis runs on your iPhone. Trip Pics picks the best photos from a trip and saves adjusted copies to your Photos app. You choose one thing: when the trip was. I made this because sorting photos after a trip was a chore. In the summer of 2026, seven of us spent eight days in Mongolia and came home with close to 3,000 photos. I couldn't face going through them one by one, so I wrote a program on my Mac that picked and adjusted them. Trip Pics is that program, moved to iPhone. How it works Pick the start and end dates of a trip, then choose whether you want photos with people, landscapes only, or everything. The app looks at sharpness and similarity across the whole trip, drops blurry shots, and keeps one photo where several look alike. How many you get depends on how many photos there are and how good they are. What you see is what gets saved The results screen is the finished set. Brightness and colour are adjusted, and framing is tidied only when a tighter crop looks better than the original and no face would be cut. You can turn cropping off, pick a film tone, or keep the originals untouched. Saved as new photos With full Photos access, the selected photos go into an album for that trip, together with a summary card. Adjusted copies are saved as new photos. Your originals are never edited or deleted. With limited access, the app saves photos but cannot create an album. Splitting by person On the results screen you can have the app gather photos that look like the same person. It only compares facial features to suggest groups of similar faces — reviewing the photos and adding a name is yours to do. Only the photos you confirm go into that person's set, and each person can be saved to an album of their own. This needs your agreement to process facial features, and trip photo selection works the same without it. Analysis runs on your iPhone Analysis and adjustment run on the device. Photos and results are not sent to my server. Facial features stay encrypted on this device and are never sent to a server or included in iCloud backups. Originals that live only in iCloud are downloaded through Apple's Photos features, so an internet connection may be needed. By default this happens on Wi-Fi only; you can allow mobile data for a single trip while waiting. No account is needed. The app does not know who the people in your photos are — it only groups similar faces together as a suggestion, and you add the names. Requires iOS 26 or later.

  • This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.

• English is now supported. If your device language is English, the app is in English. • You can split results by person. On the results screen the app gathers photos that look like the same person; confirm them, add a name, and that person's photos can be saved to their own album. It needs your agreement to process facial features, and only photos you confirm are used. • Screenshots and receipts are filtered out earlier. • When framing is tidied, the subject is checked at full resolution so it is not cut.
