Capture a thought from any app. Choose up to three reminders for Now, then give one your attention. A calm companion to Reminders on your Mac.
Your reminders are already in Reminders. Hypertask gives you a smaller place to work with them.
CAPTURE THE THOUGHT
Open Hypertask from the menu bar, Dock, or your own keyboard shortcut. Add a reminder in a few keystrokes. Type a simple date such as “tomorrow 9am” and check the date preview before saving. Brain dump adds one thought per line.
CHOOSE WHAT IS NEXT
Keep up to three tasks in Now. Focus on one task and write an optional small first step. No streaks, scores, or overdue guilt.
KEEP YOUR EXISTING LISTS
Browse Today, Inbox, or all tasks. Choose a Reminders list, create or rename a list, move tasks, edit dates and notes, complete tasks, or delete with confirmation.
CONNECT YOUR AI TOOLS
Use a local AI app that supports stdio MCP to capture, update, and finish reminders through Hypertask. Setup is available for Codex, Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code Copilot, Gemini CLI, and OpenCode. Hypertask stays open and uses its existing Reminders permission. Your AI provider may receive task text you ask it to read.
MAKE ROOM TO THINK
Resize and move the window; Hypertask remembers where you left it. Use light or dark appearance, keyboard navigation, optional launch at login, and an optional quiet focus nudge.
YOUR TASKS STAY IN REMINDERS
No Hypertask account, advertising, or task analytics. Reminders handles your task storage and iCloud sync. Now choices, small first steps, and preferences stay on this Mac.
Requires macOS 14 or later and permission to access Reminders. Supports Apple silicon and Intel Macs. List groups, recurrence editing, subtasks, and calendar events are not part of this version.
Ratings & Reviews
This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Task rows now show your reminder's notes under the title, so the detail is there without opening it. When you're looking at a single list, rows no longer repeat that list's name, which keeps them shorter.
