AlterVault keeps your photos, videos and documents encrypted on your phone. No account to make, nothing uploaded, nothing to sign in to.
ENCRYPTED BEFORE IT TOUCHES THE DISK
Every file is sealed with XChaCha20-Poly1305 — your photos, your videos, your documents, and the thumbnails and filenames too. Your code unwraps the key through Argon2id, and on iPhone that key is tied to the Secure Enclave, so a copy of the data is useless anywhere else.
NO CLOUD, NO ACCOUNT, NO ANALYTICS
There is no server. The app makes one network call in its life — the purchase — and nothing else leaves the phone: no photos, no filenames, no counts, no usage data.
TWO GALLERIES, ONE SHAKE
Your vault can hold more than one gallery. A second one comes ready to use, and shaking the phone switches to it. Shake again, enter your code, and you are back in the main one. Setup walks you through the gesture once, and its sensitivity is yours to tune in Settings.

Free holds 10 items, and the second gallery and the shake are included. One in-app purchase, paid once, removes the limit for good. No subscription.
BEFORE YOU START
Your files are encrypted with a key only your code and this iPhone can unwrap. Nobody can reset it for you — not us, not Apple. Write your recovery phrase down.
