Capture an idea the moment it hits: say it to Siri, even in CarPlay. Notes stay pinned to their second — in demos and mixes, meetings, interviews or lectures. IdeaFinder is a music player for your own unfinished work: demos, rough mixes, rehearsal takes and alternate versions of the same song. Everything you note while listening stays pinned to the exact moment in the track it refers to. It works just as well for any recording you need to go through — meetings, interviews, lectures or podcasts. Tag the important moments with notes and jump straight back to them. NOTES IN TIME • Write a note at the current position, or mark a whole range — "the second verse drags", "decision on the budget". • Tap a note to jump straight to its moment. A range note can loop as an A–B fragment. • Record an idea over the playing track — a hummed melody, a new line — and hear it later together with the backing track. • Search the text of all your notes. CAPTURE WITHOUT OPENING THE APP Ideas arrive when your hands are busy. Tell Siri what you want to note — in CarPlay too — and it is saved as a note at the current moment of the track. This works when Siri is set to English, German, Spanish, French, Italian or Portuguese; the language of your iPhone does not matter. Or just drop a marker — from the lock screen, with the Action Button on iPhones that have one, or with one tap in CarPlay — and describe it later in the Inbox. YOUR LIBRARY, YOUR STORAGE • Play from a folder on your iPhone or, with Pro, from your own WebDAV server, such as a home NAS. Tracks from the server stream, and you can keep a copy on the phone. • Organise recordings into projects and versions, and build playlists. • Waveform view, playback speed and loop. • Full lock screen controls. IN THE CAR CarPlay shows your folders, projects, playlists and tracks with notes. Next to the standard playback speed, repeat and shuffle buttons, the player has two of its own: Add marker, and the notes of the current track, to jump straight to one. A spoken note goes through Siri, without touching the screen. EXPORT • Notes as PDF, CSV, TXT or Markdown — a ready summary of a listening session, a meeting or an interview. • Marked ranges cut out of the recording as audio clips. • A DAWproject file with your notes and clips on the timeline. • Session package: a plain ZIP with your notes and, optionally, the audio. • Backups of notes, projects, tags and recordings; restoring can merge with what you already have. FREE AND PRO IdeaFinder is free to download. Listening has no limits: playback, CarPlay, lock screen controls, the A–B loop and search. Everything else can be tried within limits — up to 20 tracks; 2 notes, 2 range notes and 1 idea recording per track; 1 project and 1 playlist; exports of up to 10 notes, 2 clips or 2 audio tracks in DAWproject. NEW • Headphone calibration (Settings → Notes) measures the delay of your Bluetooth headphones, so ideas recorded over a track stay in time with the backing track. • “Refresh folder listing” adds new files from the folders on your iPhone without changing the view. • “Show the whole track” in the waveform editor. • “User guide” in Settings. • Monthly Pro subscribers can switch to the yearly plan. FIXES • WAV files play on iOS 27 — from the iPhone and from a WebDAV server. • Files added to a folder after you chose it play right away. • Tracks start faster, and selecting a range on the waveform is steadier. • Fixes in CarPlay and when playing from a server.
