Snooze Files is a small Mac app that temporarily moves files out of your way and brings them back to their original location when you’re ready. Works very similarly to Gmail snooze for emails. Right-click a file in Finder, choose Snooze File and pick a time - that's it. Your file will return to the same folder after that time. It’s a simple way to clear your desktop, put a document aside, or save something for next week. • Files and folders move to a local Snoozed Files folder and return to their original locations. • A small menu bar icon keeps the essentials close: open the snoozed folder, return all files, or open Settings. • Choose the folders the app may access. Snooze Files remembers that permission to return files after a restart. • Enable Open at Startup if you want Snooze Files ready when you sign in. • Existing files are never overwritten. If a filename is already taken, the returning file gets a new name. • No account, ads, analytics, or cloud service. The app needs to be running to return files. Files that become due while your Mac is asleep or the app is closed return when it runs again. Files from disconnected drives wait until the drive is available. Moving files from a cloud-synced folder may also sync their temporary removal. Requires macOS 13 or later. Supports Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
