The app no longer assumes who you are. Letters, replies and the pastor's words are written from your own record and nothing else, and a new account starts with no assumptions about your age, your work, whether you are married, or what you are fighting. Scripture to memorise is yours to choose. Onboarding now asks which themes you want, from eleven sets including prayer, holiness, grace after failure, evangelism and honest work. Every step of setting up can be skipped, and nothing arrives pre-written. The covenant starts empty, with a few short examples if you want a place to begin. You can pick your pastor's voice during setup, and change it whenever you like. "I'm tempted" now opens with five passages on purity and holiness instead of a breathing exercise, and they change round so you are not reading the same screen twice in a day. The journal is simpler: one kind of entry, for writing honestly. Nothing is generated in reply any more. You can now set the name your friends see. Deleting your account tells you what happened rather than closing in silence, and blocking someone reports back if it did not go through. If you write something that sounds like you may be in danger, anywhere in the app, help is offered on the spot. That answer is written by people, not generated. You can also sign in with an email address now, alongside Apple and a phone number.

You no longer need an account to use the Bible. Open the app, tap "Look around first", and the whole ESV is there: reading, search, highlights, notes, audio, memory work, the journal and the devotional timer, all of it offline. An account is only asked for where it actually does something, like letters and the one friend who can see your counters. You can now sign in with an email address as well as with Apple or a phone number. The covenant is yours to write. It used to arrive with words already in the box. It now starts empty, with an example you can pull in if you want a place to begin. Fixed: the app could crash when you tapped a notification, and again when you tapped the microphone in a new journal entry. Both are gone, along with three other crashes found while looking for them. Smaller things: the first screen now tells you what the app is rather than what it will not do with your data, the onboarding steps are clearer and shorter, and the audio player and Scripture reader picked up a number of fixes.
