Every project is a chart of what's waiting on what. Type "every 3rd monday" and the date sets itself. No account, no tracking. Tickwell is a task manager for the Mac that shows you what's waiting on what. Every project is a dependency chart, so the order your work has to happen in is the first thing you see. No account, no sign-in, no tracking. START WITH TODAY Today puts anything overdue right next to what's due today, grouped so you can see where to start. Upcoming lays out the days ahead, and Completed keeps a record of what you've finished. Drag a task to reorder it in any of these views, or drag it across days in Upcoming to reschedule it. Anything left unfinished from a past day rolls forward to today on its own, flagged so you know it moved. SEE WHAT'S WAITING ON WHAT Mark a task as waiting on another and the chart draws the chain: work flows left to right along a time axis, so anything you can start now sits on the left and everything downstream lines up behind it. Drag one task onto another to link them, or add the link from the task's detail pane. Blocked tasks are flagged rather than locked, so nothing ever becomes impossible to tick off. Open one project to see its chains, or every project at once — links can cross projects and the wider chart keeps them visible. TYPE THE DATE INTO THE TASK Write "Call the dentist tomorrow at 3pm" or "Board meeting every 3rd monday" and Tickwell reads the date and the repeat rule straight out of what you typed. It understands relative dates ("in 3 days", "next monday"), times, weekday sets ("every mon, wed, fri") and month-end rules ("every last day"). Add @home or p1 as you type to set labels and priorities. A CALENDAR FOR YOUR TASKS The Schedule view lays every task out on a month grid, with undated ones on a rail beside it. Drag one onto a day to schedule it. STRUCTURE FOR LARGER WORK Nest sub-tasks under any task. Each task carries a note, labels, a priority from P1 to P4, and a due date with an optional repeat. Right-click a project to add a task straight into it. SEARCH THAT UNDERSTANDS QUERIES Search accepts the same query language as the rest of the app: and/or, negation and grouping, so "(today | overdue) & p1 & !@home" works. Add "blocked" or "blocking" to pull out what's stuck and what's holding it up. RECURRING TASKS Daily, weekly, monthly and yearly repeats, including every-N intervals ("every 3 days"), specific weekdays, nth-weekday rules ("every 3rd monday") and month-end rules ("every last day"). MADE FOR THE MAC Light, dark and system appearance, plus a transparent window mode. Pin the window to keep it above other apps while you work. Keyboard shortcuts for adding tasks, search and switching views. A menu bar item brings the window back whenever you close it. Available in English and Simplified Chinese, with an in-app language switch. ALSO ON IPHONE AND IPAD Tickwell is available for iPhone and iPad too, with Today, Upcoming, a month calendar and a Blocked / Ready view of your dependencies. YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS Tickwell has no account and no sign-in of its own. Your tasks live in a single file inside the app's own sandbox on your Mac. If you're signed into iCloud, that file is also kept in the app's private iCloud container under your own Apple ID — through Apple, never through us. There is no analytics, no tracking and no third-party SDK of any kind. Requires macOS 14 or later.

  • This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.

- New: right-click a project in the sidebar and choose "Add task" to add a task straight into that project. - Improved: the task detail pane now slides in over the list instead of squeezing it, so the list no longer jumps sideways when you open a task. - Improved: dragging tasks to reorder them is smoother while the other rows make room. - Fixed: setting up Tickwell on another Mac no longer copies its two sample tasks into your existing iCloud data. - Stability and performance improvements.
