New tools and a tidier toolbar. • "Cross out" and "Approve": drag over an element to put a cross or a check mark on it. An optional frame around the mark is in the style panel. • Toolbar: choose how many tools stay on the panel (All, First 5, First 7); the rest sit behind the "More" button and still answer to their keys. The last tool picked from "More" becomes its face. • Capturing the active window of a full-screen app, or of an app in another Space, now grabs the whole window. • Overlay panels no longer overlap each other. • Shelved snips: Esc always asks how to close, and the dialog explains that only this session's edits are discarded; the shelved version stays. • Refreshed settings rows and pickers.

A shelf for postponed snips and one-key tools in the editor: • “Save for later” (⇧⌘D): a snip with its marks goes to the shelf instead of being lost. Open shelved snips from the “Shelved” submenu in the Snip Marker menu and keep editing; a shelved snip has “Remove from shelf”. • Esc with unsaved marks: a clear choice between “Save for later” and “Discard” with key hints, plus a “Remember my choice” switch (changeable in Interface settings). • One-key tools like in Figma: V, A, L, P, R, O, T, N, M, X — the letter is shown in each button’s tooltip. T opens a text field right under the cursor. • “Window” and “Screenshot”: a brief flash and the panels sliding in show the capture is taken (no animation with Reduce Motion). • Clearer explanation for the beta updates switch; coloured filter icons in the log.
