Harrier-Gene Research Kit

Explore genes with a cleaner interface and clearer evidence. Find sources, save excerpts to research notes and export your work on iPhone and iPad. Harrier helps researchers and students explore public gene information on iPhone and iPad. Search human genes by symbol, alias or Ensembl identifier, or switch to a dedicated mouse gene search. Explore six areas of human gene research • Gene overview: review gene identity, function and pathways. • Protein and structure: inspect protein information and a rotatable 2D projection of AlphaFold predictions, with confidence coloring. • Disease and genetics: explore public associations and genetic evidence. • Mouse research: review available ortholog, phenotype and model information. • Recent literature: browse publication details and follow links to the original papers. • Variant predictions: look up AlphaMissense predictions for supported amino acid substitutions. Trace findings to their sources Open source links to continue your research. Review source versions and retrieval times where available. Missing information and source errors are clearly labeled, so you can distinguish unavailable evidence from a reported zero. Keep your research organized Save genes, revisit your search history, write notes and mark papers as read. Human and mouse records stay organized by species. Share findings and export your research notes using the iOS share sheet. Work in Chinese or English Switch between Simplified Chinese and English without changing your saved records. Gene symbols, publication titles and your own notes remain in their original form. Your notes stay on your device Saved genes, notes and reading status are stored locally and are not uploaded by the app. Online searches send gene symbols or public variant identifiers to the Harrier service to retrieve public database information. An internet connection is required to retrieve evidence; availability depends on the source. Harrier is for research and education. Disease associations and computational predictions do not establish a diagnosis or assess an individual's health risk.
