Every evening, the same question lands on both your phones. The answers stay sealed until you've both written one, then they open at the same time. Tomurcuk is a couples app that brings you a little closer every evening, whether you live together or in different countries.
HOW IT WORKS
At 8 pm you both get the same question. Answers are sealed until both of you have written one, then they open together and the conversation starts from there. Nobody gets to read first and adjust their answer, which is why the answers tend to be honest.
The questions don't stay on the surface. You'll find out what went through your partner's head the first time they saw you, the secret they've never told anyone, the fear they've been hiding from you, their biggest regret and what they want most from you. You have to write your own answer to read theirs, so no question goes unanswered. Some evenings one question turns into an hour on the phone.
LONG DISTANCE
Distance shrinks a relationship down to video calls and "how was your day". Tomurcuk sends you both the same question every evening, so there is always something new to talk about and you keep getting to know each other even from far away. Questions follow each person's time zone, so if one of you is in Istanbul and the other in Berlin, you each get it in your own evening. Put your reunion date in and the countdown sits on the widget, one day shorter every morning. For long distance couples, 8 pm turns into a daily meeting point.
TESTS
Tests are the fun part. Fun Together is the warm-up for your first evening. Romantic shows you how your partner sees you. Future Plans shows whether you're picturing the same life. Each test is eight to ten questions and takes about five minutes. In the compatibility test you answer first, then guess what your partner said, and the score shows how well you actually know each other.
GÖKYÜZÜ, THE WEEKLY COUPLE HOROSCOPE
Every Monday, a reading for your two signs together: a harmony score, notes on the week's planets and a couple of questions to talk about. If you're into zodiac compatibility, Mondays get interesting.
YOUR SHARED PET
You grow a tomurcuk (a little bud) together. Answering questions and finishing tests earns seeds, seeds buy it hats and accessories, and it keeps growing as long as you keep showing up. Ignore it for a few days and it wilts, which turns out to be a decent excuse to text "did you answer today's question?"
CHAT
Chat is end-to-end encrypted. You can send messages, voice notes and photos, and everything you share stays in the chat so you can scroll back through it later. Chats can be archived or deleted for good.
STREAKS AND WIDGET
Every day you both answer adds to your streak. The home screen widget shows the streak, your partner's city, the days left until you see each other and whether today's question is done.
PRIVACY
We don't run analytics on your answers, and nobody reads them. If you split up, shared data is permanently deleted after 30 days. Your answers belong to the two of you.
