A small one. The only change inside the app: Rasm may ask you once, and only once, whether you would like to rate it. The rest of this update is the App Store page catching up with what the app already does — new screenshots and an updated description.

The daily lesson now fits a small iPhone. On an iPhone SE its last answer sat below the bottom of the screen, which meant the card could not be answered at all. New: read a whole sentence aloud. Twenty-six sentences, each one built only from words you have already met, with the notation to check yourself against afterwards. Nothing in it is graded. Three times the vocabulary — 141 words — chosen for the rules that had only two examples: the sun and moon letters, tāʼ marbūṭa, the hamza seats. Words now carry their vowel marks while they are new, and lose them as you get solid, the same way the letters already did. Pick the app's language yourself, under Settings, or let it keep following your phone. Large text sizes work throughout, VoiceOver reaches every screen and reads out the feedback after an answer, and the chapter texts are written for the reader rather than for the code.
