A virtual aquarium on your homescreen
A little fish tank, right on your Home Screen.
Pick your fish, give them names, and see them every time you unlock your iPhone. No feeding, no cleaning, no guilt. Just a few bright companions who are always there.
YOUR OWN TANK
Add a fish and watch it drop into the water with a splash. Then give it a name: your best friend, a K-pop star you love, the cast of your favourite sitcom.
Tap the glass and a puff of bubbles rises. Or just watch. Every fish swims in its own way, at its own pace, and lets out the odd little bubble. There's room for five, so each one gets a name and a place of its own.
YOUR FISH, ON YOUR HOME SCREEN
Add the Companions widget and your tank is there every time you glance at your phone. Same fish, same water, no need to open the app. The widget comes in small, medium and large, and the app shows you exactly how each size will look before you place it.
MAKE IT YOURS
Choose from four tank styles: Minimal, Twilight, Pond and Reed. Pick one and your widget changes to match.
MEET THE FISH
Every tank starts with a Tang, a Sardine and a Puffer. Want more company?
• Reef Pack: Clownfish, Moorish Idol, Regal Tang, Parrotfish and Lionfish.
• Pond Pack: Koi, Gold Koi, Catfish, Trout and Terrapin.
• Sea Creatures Pack: Sea Turtle, Seahorse, Squid, Jellyfish and Octopus.
• Shark Pack: Great White, Manta, Hammerhead, Whale Shark and Thresher.
• Whale Pack: Dolphin, Orca, Blue Whale, Sperm Whale and Humpback.
• Pond Creatures Pack: Minnow, Axolotl, Frog, Toad and Tadpole.

This is so cool I love this so much and the fish packs are a fair price. I would like to request a feature is there anyway to make it so that when you tap the top of the widget it feeds the fish instead of loading into the app to feed them that would make this perfect. Again thanks for making this!!

Feedback: (1) You can now feed the fish but only by opening the widget every time (2) animals you want stationary, don’t. Like I want the turtle to sit on a rock but still have fish moving around (3) the standby widget should look identical to the Home Screen widget. As of now, it’s just fish swimming in place in a black area
Developer Response
Thank you for your feedback! I'll try to address all of it! (1) I want this so badly as well, and it's a brilliant idea! The feeding animation is incredibly complex, and the exploit I use to allow for animations on the widgets themselves is frustratingly limiting, so I'm not sure if the same animation can be brought over to the same quality. But I'll try my best and continue looking into it! (2) We recently introduced a stationary animal, which is the starfish! He moves very, very slowly but will cling to the bottom of the tank or props and mostly sit there. I'll bring this to the turtle as well! Maybe the turtle specifically has been swimming around too much, which looks nice and active, but you're correct, it's not very realistic! (3) I made the background of the tanks turn dark on standby mode because of feedback from users that it was too bright on their nightstands. But maybe I can have this be a setting that users can toggle themselves! Because I do love the background on my tank, and I use standby a lot on my desk while working as well, where you might want to actually see the background!Thank you again for all of your feedback! I'll try my best to address all of them in updates soon. If you have anything else more specific, feel free to email me anytime, and I'll personally also reply to you!
