On The Margins
Scripture, with your notes
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
On The Margins puts your thinking right next to the text: a resizable notes margin beside the Bible reading pane, so annotating feels like part of reading rather than a separate app.
HIGHLIGHT VERSES AND KEEP NOTES ON THEM
Highlights and notes are anchored to the verse, not to one translation. Switch versions, or read in chronological order, and everything you wrote stays exactly where it belongs.
PHOTOGRAPH SERMON SLIDES
Attach a photo of a sermon slide or a handwritten page. The app recognises the text so the note is searchable later. Or draw a note by hand, Apple Pencil supported, beside your typed notes.
READ THE BIBLE IN ORDER
A chronological reading mode with an interactive timeline of eras and key figures, so you can read events in the order they happened.
MULTIPLE TRANSLATIONS
KJV, WEB, BSB, NIV (licensed from Biblica) and NASB (licensed from the Lockman Foundation), plus translations in German, Spanish, French and Romanian, including the Cornilescu Bible.
READ OFFLINE
Downloaded translations, your notes and your highlights live on the device, so reading and writing work without a connection. Sync catches up when you are back online.
SYNC ACROSS IPHONE, IPAD AND MAC
Start a note on your phone during the sermon. Finish it on your Mac that evening. It is the same note, not a copy of one.
Read aloud, adjustable text size, six reading themes with light and dark modes, and full keyboard navigation on Mac.
