Coat Peg Staff
Your nursery's camera and log
Free
Post once from the room and every family hears about their child's day in one evening notification. Now redesigned for iPad and phone, and calmer to use.
Coat Peg is how a nursery tells families about their child's day.
Staff post a photo and a sentence from the room, on the iPad already on the shelf. Tag the children it was about and it reaches their families - once, at teatime, as a single message rather than a notification every time somebody picks up a camera.
The everyday jobs are in the same place: the register, meals, nappies and sleeps, accident records, medication, observations against the areas of learning, and the notice board. Switch on what your setting uses. Anything you don't use never appears in the room.
Built for a shared device in a loud room. A member of staff unlocks with a four-digit PIN, does the thing, and hands over. Nobody signs in and out.

A redesigned Coat Peg Staff:
- The room screen fits on one iPad screen, with tasks grouped and a single "Needs you now" panel.
- A clearer Sleeps screen: put a child down, check them with one tap, and see who is due next.
- Two-year progress checks, written with the family and shared once. Turn it on in Admin.
- Fees and invoices: prices, funding and a monthly invoice run, shared with families in the parent app. Turn it on in Admin.
- Photo consent is now two choices: photos for the child's own family, and photos other families can see.
- Posts saved while the wifi was down now go out under the name of the person who wrote them.
- Half-written forms ask before they are lost, plus many smaller fixes.
