Every photo you share carries more than the picture: where it was taken, when, and with which device. Image Sanitizer shows you what a photo reveals, then removes it. What's left is just the picture.
Drop in photos or whole folders. Each one shows how many hidden fields it carries, and hovering tells you what kind: Location, Camera & Device, Dates, and so on. Nothing changes until you press Sanitize.
SEE IT BEFORE YOU REMOVE IT
Adding a photo only reads it. You see the count, you see the categories, and you decide. Turn off anything you'd rather keep, such as your copyright notice, and everything else goes.
WHAT IT REMOVES
• Location: GPS coordinates, altitude, direction, city
• Camera & Device: make, model, lens, serial numbers, software, exposure settings
• Dates: date taken, time zone, and the file's own creation and modification dates
• Author & Copyright: artist, creator, copyright notices
• Descriptions & Keywords: titles, captions, keywords, face regions
• Other Embedded Data: edit history and anything not recognized
Anything Image Sanitizer doesn't recognize is removed too, so new kinds of metadata don't slip through.
VERIFIED CLEAN
Every cleaned image is inspected again before it replaces the original. If any selected information survived, the file is reported as failed and the original is left untouched. A green checkmark means the file is actually clean.
THE PICTURE STAYS THE PICTURE
JPEG, PNG and TIFF keep exactly the same pixels. HEIC, HEIF and GIF are saved again at high quality and look the same. Orientation, color profile, HDR and animation are always preserved.
NOTHING LEAVES YOUR MAC
Image Sanitizer runs inside the macOS App Sandbox with no network access at all. It can't upload your photos, and it doesn't collect anything: no account, no analytics, no tracking. Its App Privacy label says "Data Not Collected" because that's the truth.
BUILT FOR THE MAC
A single window, drag and drop, a "+" in the toolbar, Open With from the Finder, and files dropped on the Dock icon. Every action has a keyboard shortcut. Light and dark mode come from the system, and so does Liquid Glass on macOS 26. Ten languages.

GOOD TO KNOW
Files are changed in place. If you want to keep the original information, make a copy first. Image Sanitizer removes metadata; it doesn't change what's visible in the picture itself.
