Ori picks five places worth going, right where you stand.
A meal, a coffee, a drink, something to see, somewhere to walk.
No search box to fill in. Open it and the picks are already there.
■ First, name your duck
A duck waddles up and asks for a name. It takes the name away, comes back with a field notebook, and the two of you set off.
■ Starts from where you stand
Skips the part where you scan a map for something decent.
Ratings and review counts decide the order, and places open now come first. MICHELIN Guide picks are marked under the name.
Pick how far you'll walk, from 5 to 50 minutes, and the cards stay within that range.
■ Flip through cards
One place per card: name, category, minutes on foot, open or closed.
See all five and it turns into a list you can compare at a glance.
Don't drink? Turn that slot off. You can also pick what's inside a slot, like bakeries only or galleries only.
■ Keep the ones you mean to visit in your field notes
Tap the heart to save a place to "Place cards". The first place you save in a new district earns that district's stamp.
In "Visit log", saved places build up as dots on a map. Tap a stamp and the map zooms to that district to show what you saved there.
Somewhere that isn't a shop? Save the spot itself with "Save where I am".
■ Feathers for your duck
Sign in, earn a new district stamp, or bring a friend with your link, and you get a feather. Trade three feathers for a hat, a scarf or a backpack. Your duck wears them everywhere it appears.
■ Share a place
Send any card to a friend from the button next to the heart. The link opens with a preview of the place.
■ On the move
Walked or driven a while since you opened the app? Your duck asks whether to look around your new spot. Nothing changes until you say so.
■ Going further by car
Switch to "By car" to see things to see, places to eat and cafés across your whole town or county.
■ People who know the area fix it
A place reported as closed drops off the list once reports add up.
Report a place in the wrong slot and it's fixed on your screen right away, and the report goes to us.
■ Works abroad
Anywhere you travel, Tokyo or Bali, you get the same picks. Korean and English.

• Home is now one screen: a map on top and the full list below. Tap a place to open its card right under it.
• Menu search results use the same map and list.
• Can't decide? "Draw one of these" at the end of the list picks one for you.
• Bug fixes.
