PulseZones is a heart rate zone tracker for every screen you train with: iPhone, iPhone Duo, Apple Watch and Apple TV. Set a weekly minutes goal for each zone, train with live zones on your wrist, and watch the week fill in.
MADE FOR IPHONE DUO
• Unfold for two panes: your week beside your zone bars, your live ring beside your zone breakdown
• Fold it and everything fits the cover screen
BUILT FOR APPLE WATCH
• A native Apple Watch app. Start a workout from your wrist and see your current zone, bpm, and time in zone update live
• One ring for all five zones that fills as your heart rate climbs
• Time in zone adds up for the whole workout. It doesn't reset when you leave a zone and come back
• A watch face complication that shows this week's zone progress and switches to live zone bars during a workout (Zone 2 free, all five zones with Pro)
• Haptic taps when you move up or down a zone (Pro)
• Workouts save to Apple Health with heart rate, calories, and GPS route
NEW: APPLE TV
• This week's zone goals on the big screen, free
• With Pro, your live ring, timers and zone breakdown appear on your TV while you train
• Link with your iPhone camera. Your data goes straight to your Apple TV over your Wi-Fi. Nothing is uploaded
START FROM YOUR IPHONE
• Tap Start Workout on iPhone and PulseZones launches it on your Apple Watch, then mirrors your zones live on your phone
• No Watch? On iOS 26, record on iPhone using a Bluetooth chest strap or compatible earbuds for heart rate
GUIDED WORKOUTS (PRO)
• Four guided sessions: Zone 2 Steady (45 min), VO2 Max 4×4 (43 min), Threshold Tempo (49 min), and Recovery (30 min)
• Your Watch taps at each segment and nudges you up or down when you drift out of the target zone
SIRI, SHORTCUTS AND THE ACTION BUTTON
• Start a workout with Siri, add it to Shortcuts, or map it to the Action button on Apple Watch Ultra
• A Live Activity shows your zone and bpm on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island
CHOOSE YOUR WORKOUT
• 14 workout types, including walking, running, swimming, hiking, cycling, HIIT, and strength training
DISTANCE, GPS ROUTES AND CARDIO FITNESS
• Live distance and average pace (speed on rides) for walks, runs, hikes, rides, and open-water swims, in miles or kilometers
• Outdoor walks, runs, hikes, swims, and rides record a route and save it to Apple Health
• A VO2 max tile shows your latest Apple Watch cardio fitness reading and recent history

Very easy to use. This is an app I have been wanting for a long time.

Thank you! I built PulseZones because I wanted the same thing. If there's a feature you'd like next, use the support link on this page and tell me. — Brad
Helpful HR zones app
mhilf
Nice conglomeration of heart rate data to better understand how I’m spreading around my hr zones through the week
Developer Response
Thanks for the review! The new Totals tab in 2.8.2 shows your minutes in all five zones for the week, so the spread you mentioned is now on one screen. — Brad
Zones is where it at

Love seeing what zones I’m hitting!
New in PulseZones 3.0:
• Zone 2 Pulse: your Apple Watch gives a gentle double tap every 3 seconds while you're in Zone 2, so you can feel it without looking. Light, Strong or Off.
• Two recovery readings after every Watch workout: Cooldown HRR (from your heart rate when you end) and Peak HRR (from your highest heart rate).
• New workouts: Functional Strength Training and Walk/Run Intervals.
• Cleaner distance workouts: big, easy-to-read miles above your heart rate. Laps are gone.
• Choose your watch-face complication colors: all five zone colors, or Zone 2 Focus with Zone 2 in blue.
• Spanish now comes in two versions: Español (Latinoamérica) and Español (España).
• Many reliability fixes across iPhone, Apple Watch, Mac and Apple TV.
