Scan timecodes, calculate durations and plan slow motion. A pocket tool for production and editing, available in English and French From timecode to result, right on your iPhone. FLASH TC helps filmmakers, editors and video enthusiasts on set and in the edit suite. Capture two timecodes with your camera, check the recognized values and calculate your result. SCAN WITH YOUR CAMERA Point at a timecode on a screen, a hardware display or a clearly handwritten note. Zoom in on small digits, capture A and B, then check the numbers before confirming. Tap a thumbnail to review the photo at a larger size. Recognition depends on legibility, lighting and reflections. ENTER AND CALCULATE You can also enter timecodes with the numeric keypad while the separators stay visible. Choose B − A, A − B or A + B. View your result as a timecode and a frame count, with a next-day option for subtraction across midnight. VIDEO AND FILM FRAME RATES Work at 23.976, 24, 25, 29.97, 30, 50, 59.94 or 60 frames per second. Drop Frame and Non-Drop Frame modes are available at 29.97 and 59.94 fps. CONVERSION AND SLOW MOTION Express the same duration at another frame rate, or calculate playback duration for slow motion or fast motion. Choose a preset or enter a custom frame rate in the converter. For example: 10 seconds recorded at 100 fps plays for 40 seconds at 25 fps. SAVE YOUR RESULTS Keep calculations and conversions on your iPhone. Review saved parameters and recall an A/B calculation to continue working with it. BUILT FOR THE FIELD Switch the camera off when you only need manual entry and calculations. Recognition and calculations run on your iPhone, without uploading photos to a server. The interface is available in English and French. FREE, WITH OPTIONAL SUPPORT All features are free. Optional one-time in-app purchases let you support the independent development of FLASH TC. There is no subscription and no feature to unlock. FLASH TC reads the timecode captured in a photo; it does not synchronize devices or generate a timecode signal.
