Improved decimal entry validation and corrected negative decimal values. Invalid measurements now show an error instead of producing an incorrect result. Added an occasional native rating request after repeated use.

Brace 1.2 is a big cleanup with a fresh look. Fixes The Stairs tool no longer closes when you type a small rise in total run mode. Tile and paint coverage now keeps decimals like 0.25 and 32.5 sq ft exact. The calculator chains correctly after equals, swaps an operator if you change your mind, and shows a message instead of dividing by zero. Memory recall keeps the exact value, and the in and mm key now switches the display. Camera Measure explains when camera access is off and recovers after you leave the app. Pro tabs no longer flash the offer before your purchase is checked. New Ask Siri or Shortcuts to convert a length, add lengths, or open the ruler or camera. New illustrations, welcome cards and the iOS 26 glass look. Better VoiceOver: keys and results are read in plain words, and text grows with your size setting.

New: a life-size ruler. Lay small parts on the screen and read them in inches or centimetres. Brace sets the scale for your iPhone model, and you can check it against any bank card. New: camera measure. Aim at a start point and an end point and Brace gives the distance in feet, inches and fractions, using LiDAR on iPhones that have it. Send the result straight to the calculator. Camera readings are approximate, so check them with a tape before you cut. The tape view now opens on your measurement instead of at zero, with inches on the top edge, millimetres on the bottom, 16" stud and 19.2" truss marks, and three zoom levels. Fixed a crash when the tape view was opened at 1/2" or 1/4" precision.

Sixteenths: Trade Calculator is now called Brace: Construction Calculator. The name changed so the app is not confused with a different app that has a similar name. New name, same app. Your settings are kept, and the icon on your home screen now reads Brace. The Layout, Construction and Materials solvers are now part of Brace Pro. The calculator and conduit bending stay free. Bender take-ups can now be changed, and you can add your own benders and sizes; they are saved on your device. Rigid 1 inch presets now use the 11 inch take-up that Klein, Ideal and Greenlee publish (they were 10 inches), and IMC presets were added. If no take-up is on file for a bender and size, Brace asks for one instead of guessing a stub-up mark. On the calculator, press Inch after the whole inches to type a fraction, so 6' 3 5/16" can be entered. If you bought Pro, it is now called Brace Pro and it carries over. There is nothing to buy again. If it ever shows as locked, tap the gear icon, then Restore Previous Purchases.
