Vivi Baby: Newborn Tracker
Sleep, Feeding & Diaper Log
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPhone. Not verified for macOS.
Vivi Baby is a newborn and parents companion app for iPhone and Apple Watch. Log a feed, a nap or a diaper in a couple of taps, share the log with your partner, and see when your baby last ate or slept. No account is needed.
WHAT YOU CAN LOG
• Breastfeeding with a timer for each side, bottles, formula, combo feeding and solids
• Naps and night sleep, timed live or added afterwards
• Wet, dirty and dry diapers
• Pumping sessions by side and amount
• Growth on WHO charts, CDC milestones, health notes, vaccines, teeth, firsts, routines and a journal
FOR BOTH PARENTS
Each parent logs from their own iPhone, and every entry shows who saved it. Start a timer on one phone and it runs on the other one too, on the Lock Screen through Live Activities and on Apple Watch. Widgets, Siri and Shortcuts help when you only have one free hand. You can invite a grandparent or a nanny, and follow more than one child.
WHERE YOUR DATA LIVES
Vivi saves the log as plain files in your family's own iCloud Drive, an approach inspired by Obsidian. The log isn't uploaded to Vivi's servers. Shared live timers go through a small relay that only sees anonymous timer state. No ads, no tracking. You can import your history from other baby tracking apps and export it as CSV whenever you like.
FREE, EXCEPT THREE ADVANCED FEATURES
Everything above is free. Vivi Plus adds:
• Checkups: gathers growth, medical notes, recent stats and your questions before a pediatrician visit.
• Nap Prediction (Sleepy Time in the app): estimates the next nap and bedtime from your baby's age and sleep history.
• Insights: spots patterns in what you log and compares them with WHO, CDC and AAP guidance, linking each source.
Vivi Plus is a monthly or yearly subscription with a free trial, and it works with Apple Family Sharing. It renews automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel anytime in Settings.
WHO MAKES IT
Tom, a senior software engineer in Québec, Canada, built Vivi with his wife around their daughter. They keep adding to it as she grows.
Vivi Baby is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. Ask a health professional about your child's health.

Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
- Today now has a tile for Feed, Diaper, Pump and Routine with the day’s count. Tap a tile to see it in History, or tap + to log one.
- You can hide the button bar at the bottom of Today. “Customize Today” is now also in Preferences.
- Each phone now keeps its own activities. Hiding or moving a chip or a Book tile no longer changes them on the other parent’s phone.
- And over 100 bugfixes in this release:
- In Spanish and Portuguese, Today no longer stays blank and freezes the app.
- A damaged family file or entry can no longer close the app on every phone or make a child disappear.
- When two parents change the same entry or child settings, both changes are kept, even offline.
- Records changed on two phones while offline no longer show twice, and deleted ones stay deleted.
- A timer stopped or discarded on another phone no longer comes back or saves a wrong length.
- A pause, side switch or note made on another phone is no longer lost or undone.
- No more double timers when Vivi, Siri, a widget, Apple Watch or another phone start one at the same time.
- Lock Screen and Dynamic Island timers keep updating after a weak connection or a day offline.
- Apple Watch and the widgets now show a sleep and a feed or pump at the same time.
- A timer started and stopped on Apple Watch away from the phone now also stops on the phone.
- A diaper or bottle logged on Apple Watch is saved once.
- When you stop a sleep with Siri, a widget or Apple Watch, the next nap appears on the other phones too.
- Correcting the end of a timed sleep, feed or pump is no longer undone by another phone.
- A note typed in a running timer is kept when you close the timer screen.
- Resuming a feed, pump or sleep keeps its photos and the times and side you set.
- Reminders now ring at the exact time and stay off when you turn them off.
- Reminders follow what you log with Siri, a widget, the Lock Screen or Apple Watch, even when Vivi is closed.
- A feed or pump reminder no longer rings during a timed feed or pump.
- Reminders are no longer cancelled while iCloud is still downloading them.
- The Dynamic Island now looks like the Lock Screen: icon, name, time and Stop in one row.
- Close and Save are now clear buttons at the top of every form.
- Removing a photo now shows a clear X and asks first.
- Deleting an entry now also deletes its photos, and every copy goes to the trash.
- Forms wait while they save or add a photo, so nothing is lost.
- A number that is not valid, such as “-1”, now shows in red instead of clearing the saved value.
- If something can’t be saved or deleted, the screen stays open with your changes and tells you why.
- Imports no longer overwrite or double entries changed on another phone, and keep a copy of each entry they replace.
- Re-importing your own export no longer replaces your entries with less complete copies.
- Exports tell you if some entries can’t be read. Checkup answers and medicine doses now export and import correctly.
- Search: “10am” is no longer read as a date, diapers can be found by type, older matches show up, and apostrophes work.
- If you rename or move your family folder in Files, Vivi finds it again.
- After you reinstall Vivi or set up a new iPhone, your family opens again.
- You can join another shared family from the Family tab again.
- When you leave or remove a family, its timers stop coming to your phone.
- Today’s plan shows bedtime during the bedtime sleep, adds the extra nap after two short naps, and no longer plans a nap during a sleep started on another phone.
- Days with only the night logged, such as daycare days, no longer throw off Sleepy Time, Insights or checkups.
- Insights wait until your whole history is on a new iPhone.
- In a checkup, notes, questions and answers saved on two phones are all kept.
- When “Live Activity while timers run” is off, timers from other phones and Apple Watch no longer appear on the Lock Screen.
- And much much more!
