MooGrid is a Sudoku-style logic puzzle for iPhone and iPad. Read the colorful grid, mark impossible cells, and find the one arrangement that gives every cow a home. Play offline, without ads, accounts, or in-app purchases.
THREE SIMPLE RULES
• Place one cow in each row and column.
• Place one cow in each colored region.
• Keep cows apart: they cannot touch, even diagonally. Cows farther apart on the same diagonal are allowed.
CHOOSE YOUR CHALLENGE
Play 8 × 8, 12 × 12, or 16 × 16 boards with Basic, Advanced, or Combined reasoning. Larger iPad windows also offer 32 × 32 puzzles; landscape is recommended. This option depends on available window space and is not offered on iPhone or smaller iPad windows.
Fresh puzzles are generated and checked for exactly one solution on your device. No connection or downloaded puzzle packs are needed.
AT HOME ON IPAD
Play in portrait or landscape. In a wide landscape layout, the board and controls sit side by side. Swap their positions to suit your preference; your choice is saved. The whole board stays visible, and opening a hint keeps it in place.
YOUR PLAY, OVER TIME
Open My Records beside Settings to see time played, games started and cleared, and days played. Explore results by size and difficulty, your best first unaided times, and individual game history. Replays and assisted games have a place in your history, too.
Complete records begin with your first new game or restart after this update; earlier games are not reconstructed. Records stay on this device.
LEARN AS YOU PLAY
Tutorial arrows guide your first cow and cross. Hints explain a logical next step before you apply it. Each attempt includes a limited number of hints and assisted cow placements. Turn on Learn mode for unlimited hints on the current attempt, without changing your board or progress. Learn mode keeps the same mistake rules.
TAP, DOUBLE-TAP, AND DRAG
Tap to add or remove a manual cross. Double-tap to place or remove a cow. Drag to mark or clear several cells. Optional automatic exclusions mark positions ruled out by your cows. Double-tapping a visibly auto-excluded cell does not cost a heart.
Each attempt starts with four hearts. An incorrect cow placement uses one heart; the fourth mistake ends the attempt. Retry the same puzzle, or start a new one. There is no countdown, energy refill, or payment to retry.
MAKE IT COMFORTABLE
• Optional region letters help distinguish colors on every board size.
• Letters appear in empty cells and stay clear of cows and crosses.
• Current progress and settings are saved on your device.
• English and Simplified Chinese follow your device language, with English as the fallback.
• Free to play, with no ads, in-app purchases, or subscriptions.
MooGrid does not collect or transmit your personal or gameplay data. Local saves may be included in backups managed by iOS. Progress and records are stored separately on each device; there is no cross-device sync.
