Wortspur is a German word search that teaches you the word while you are still looking for it.
Nine German words are hidden in a grid. Find one and it opens: what it means, the article that goes with it, a real sentence it belongs in, and a native voice reading both aloud. Then you move on. You are not drilled on it afterwards, because you did not memorise it — you found it.
2,783 words across 308 packs, following the official Goethe lists from A1 to C2. Start at the level you are actually at. Move up when you are ready.

Hi German learners, this update brings the biggest set of changes since launch!
Der Die Das is a new tab, and a game made out of your own words.
Words you have already found come back as cards — five seconds each, der, die or das, three lives.
Every word and every example sentence is now spoken aloud, with authentic german pronounciation throughout the app.
There is a new Profile tab as well: your words learned, your days in a row, the articles you know and your fastest pack.
Settings has moved to the gear at the top right to make room for it.
And your daily words now arrive with the meaning and the sentence they live in.
