Check your door, stove, and windows before you leave. Keep a record you can look back at later.
Make a checklist for the things you check at home. Check each item yourself, then use Hold to lock to record your ordinary checks. You can see what you checked and when in Activity. The app records your checks. It does not lock doors, control appliances, or verify their physical state.

One place, one routine, and unlimited checklist items are free. You also get seven days of Activity, a small Home Screen widget showing your latest check, and record exports. No app account, ads, or tracking.
Keep your own routine
Add your door, stove, windows, keys, or anything you check before leaving. Choose how long a completed checklist stays marked as checked. After that time, you can still see when you last checked it.
Add Plus when you need more
Get unlimited places, up to five routines per place, and 90 days of Activity. Add time and location reminders, household sharing, more widgets, and Apple Watch.
Plus also adds photo, NFC, and read-only Apple Home steps. Apple Home reports an accessory's state separately from your personal check. NFC and Apple Home require compatible hardware.
Invite people to a shared place through iCloud. They can see the place and record their checks without their own Plus subscription. Sharing requires an Apple Account.
Plus offers annual and monthly subscriptions. Eligible annual subscribers can try seven days free when Apple offers the trial. Apple shows your local price before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel. Manage subscriptions through your Apple Account settings. Restore purchases in the app.
