Press Space on a Markdown file in Finder and read it the way it was meant to look — headings, tables, code with syntax highlighting, and the document's own images. Double-click for a window where you can also fix the text, paste it into Mail, or save it as a PDF.
QUICK LOOK, DONE PROPERLY
JustMD adds a Quick Look preview for .md files. Space previews the file; double-click opens it in a window. Both use the same renderer, so a document never looks different depending on how you opened it.
FIX A TYPO WHERE YOU READ IT
Select text in the window and choose Edit: the Markdown behind the selection opens right there — rewrite it, press ⌘↩, and the file on disk is updated. Delete removes it instead. Undo works, and nothing is written if the file changed since it was shown.
COPY FORMATTED TEXT INTO MAIL
Copy HTML puts the document on the clipboard with its formatting — headings, tables, code blocks — ready to paste into a message in Mail.
EXPORT TO PDF
Save PDF writes a clean, paginated, always-light PDF, with paper size and margins in Settings. The same renderer as the window, so the PDF looks like what you read.
IMAGES THAT ACTUALLY SHOW UP
The screenshots and diagrams beside your README appear in the preview instead of broken boxes. macOS keeps apps out of your folders, so JustMD asks once: grant a folder in Folder Access and it can read images from that folder — nothing else — and you can take the permission back at any time.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Files are read and rendered on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account and no tracking. Remote images — the badges at the top of a README — are the only thing that ever touches the network.
QUICK, BECAUSE A PREVIEW HAS TO BE
Rendering is bounded on purpose: a large or slow image degrades to a placeholder rather than holding the preview panel open.
