Morningcast reads you the news, at the hour you choose. Pick the parts of the world and the subjects you actually follow, pick the time your edition should arrive, and Morningcast puts together one finished edition a day — to read, or to listen to in a natural studio voice. LISTENING IS HALF THE PRODUCT • Play the whole edition, one region, one category, or a single story • Two studio voices, with speed from 0.8x to 2x • Keeps playing in the background, with lock screen and Control Center controls • Save a story, a chapter or a whole edition and listen to it offline ON YOUR SCHEDULE • Choose the hour your edition arrives, and an optional second edition in the evening • The day turns over at your hour, not at midnight • New and continuing stories are marked against the last edition you opened • Seven days of past editions, so a day you missed is still there FOLLOW A STORY Follow any story and Morningcast tells you when it really moves — one notification per development, and the story keeps its own timeline. Every development is dated, with what changed and how many more outlets picked it up. Alerts are opt-in, at most three a day, and can be turned off in Settings; a story that goes quiet for two weeks drops off by itself. SEE THE EDITION ON A MAP Every story in your edition is placed where it happened, on a calm Apple map. Tap a region to read or hear its part, tap a story for a short card, or listen to what is in view, in edition order. The map never asks for your location. STORIES WORTH THE TIME • Every story says what happened, why it matters, and what to watch next • The outlets that reported it are listed and linked, so you can read further • Fifteen world regions and a set of categories to choose from • Optional on-device translation of the text on iOS 18 and later; audio stays in English QUIET BY DESIGN No account. No ads. No tracking. No location permission. One edition a day at your hour; between editions, only a story you chose to follow can reach you, and only when it really develops. No breaking-news alerts, no promotions, no badges. FREE AND PLUS Free includes your home region, the general category, the first story of each chapter in audio, up to three saved stories, and one followed story. Morningcast Plus unlocks every region and every category, full listening, saving chapters and whole editions, seven days of past editions, and up to twenty followed stories. Morningcast Plus is an auto-renewing weekly subscription at $7.99 per week, with a $0.99 first week for eligible new subscribers. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel the subscription in your App Store account settings after purchase. Restore Purchases is available in Settings and on the subscription sheet. Stories are summarised automatically from public reporting and may contain errors; every story lists its sources so you can check.
