Camera, lens, focal length, aperture, shutter speed, and ISO are read automatically from the photo's EXIF data. A short description of what's in the photo and fitting hashtags are written by on-device AI that looks at the photo.
- Your template, every time
Captions follow the template you write. Only the parts you mark, like {caption} or {camera}, are filled in. Everything else stays exactly as you wrote it, so every post keeps your format.
- Product names, not model codes
Model codes recorded in EXIF are replaced with readable product names.
- Hashtags you always use, plus ones that fit
Set hashtags to always include, or ones to add for a specific lens. The AI picks only the remaining slots to match the photo. You choose the limit.
- Rules from a few choices
Choose a language, length, tone, and hashtag style when you start, and generation rules are written for you. Edit them anytime.
- Edit freely
Edit the caption right away, with live character and hashtag counts. Copy it and post.
- Multiple Templates & Rules (in-app purchase)
A one-time purchase lets you save as many templates and generation rules as you like, each with its own name, and choose which ones to use each time you generate. Without it, you get one template and one set of rules, and every other feature is included. Supports Family Sharing.
- Your photos stay on your device
Reading capture details and writing captions both happen entirely on your device. Nothing is sent to a server, and no account is needed.
- Requirements
Caption generation works on iPhone models that support Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 Pro or later) when Apple Intelligence is available and turned on in Settings. Availability can also depend on your region, language, and free storage.
When captions can't be generated, you can still browse your photos and view their capture details.
Supports JPEG and HEIC photos.
