HOW IT WORKS
Disk Speeder writes a temporary test file directly to your chosen drive, measures the time it takes, then reads it back — all while bypassing the operating system's memory cache so you're seeing the drive's true, unassisted speed. The test file is automatically deleted when finished.
Because of macOS security sandboxing, you'll be asked to choose a folder on the drive you want to test the first time you run a test. No files outside that location are touched.
Disk Speeder does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything happens locally on your Mac.
