• The Wispen Keyboard now always records with the speech model you chose in Wispen, and every dictation is saved as a Wispen note as well as typed where you are. • The keyboard's space bar now says Wispen, so you can tell it apart from other keyboards. • Downloaded speech models load straight from your device: faster, and without an internet connection. • A clearer message while a model loads, with a timer and a note when you can already start talking.

• The Wispen Keyboard no longer gets stuck while dictating, and stopping always finishes. • See when Wispen is listening in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen, and stop or turn off the microphone right there. • New Voice Note widget for the Home Screen and Lock Screen, plus a Control Center button. • Share audio or video files to Wispen to transcribe them into a note. • Keyboard: undo your last dictation, insert recent dictations, and your chosen mode (Tasks, Notes, Email…) now applies. It also follows Light and Dark Mode and shows a live sound meter. • Words you say while a Whisper model is loading are no longer lost. • Dictations from the keyboard appear in Wispen right away. • Fixed a crash while dictating with Whisper models. Whisper also no longer types sound labels such as [BLANK_AUDIO] or repeats itself. • Downloaded Whisper models are no longer reported as missing after an update.

• Wispen is now available in German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese. • New Language setting: choose the language Wispen's menus and buttons use in Settings › Language, separate from the language you dictate in. You can also change it in the iPhone or iPad Settings app under Wispen.

• Wispen Keyboard now works on iPad. • New voice commands: say "hyphen" to join words ("well hyphen known" becomes "well-known"), and "quote … unquote" to wrap words in quotes. • The Voice Commands guide now lists only phrases that work.

A cleaner, faster Wispen. • Settings redesigned: it opens right in the app like a note, with large buttons, clear pages and short descriptions. Every setting does what it says. • A tidier home screen: just Favorites, Uncategorized and your folders. Insights is now at the top of Settings. • Recording starts the moment you tap Record, and your first words are no longer cut off. • Transcript Cleanup with S1-mini loads while you speak, so stopping is quicker. Fixes and removals • Fixed the stop button sometimes spinning for a long time after a dictation. • Fixed other apps' audio sometimes staying quiet after a very short recording. • The microphone now turns off as soon as you stop, even while Transcript Cleanup finishes. • Transcript Cleanup now applies to dictations in the Wispen app; Wispen Keyboard dictations use the built-in cleanup. • Removed AI Transformations, Quick Reformat and Summarize & Tag from notes, including the summary line at the top of notes. • Removed Meeting Recorder and Recent Recordings. Recordings kept on your device are deleted. • Removed settings that didn't do anything.

Wispen 2026.10.03 is our biggest update yet. Everything still runs on your device. • Meeting Recorder: a live transcript that labels who's talking, then a summary and action items. • New speech models: Apple's SpeechAnalyzer is now the default, and NVIDIA Parakeet is available for fast, accurate dictation in English and 25 European languages. • Transcript Cleanup: download S1-mini by Superwhisper (462 MB, English) to turn rambling dictation into clean text, right on your device. • Names spelled right: the Wispen Keyboard picks up names already in the text you're writing, so they're spelled the same way. • Dictionary upgrades: word replacements, voice snippets, and corrections like "meet at 2, actually 3". Wispen also offers to learn names you correct. • Type on the Wispen Keyboard: switch between dictating and a typing layout, which also works without Full Access. • Your own AI modes: write an instruction once and use it on any note.
