Cats keep climbing onto your bed for a nap, and there is exactly one blanket — and it is too short. • Blue-grey cats are chilly: tuck them in, or they wake up shivering. • Ginger cats run hot: keep the blanket OFF them, or they overheat. • Drag the blanket with one finger. That is the whole control scheme. • A cat that runs out of comfort storms off. Three of those and the night is over. • A cat that finishes its nap leaves happy — and scores big. The bed fills up, chilly and hot cats lie side by side, and the blanket is one rectangle. Who gets covered now, who can wait, and who do you give up on?
