Apple TV

Turn your Apple TV into an expressive instrument. Connect a Bluetooth MIDI keyboard or play from the Siri Remote, then shape every sound from the couch. MAKE YOUR APPLE TV AN INSTRUMENT TV Synth is a focused, playable synthesizer built for the big screen. Connect a Bluetooth LE MIDI keyboard for expressive performance, or explore sounds with the Siri Remote keyboard included in the app. BUILD A SOUND IN MINUTES Start with one of 90 factory presets, including 18 arpeggios, 12 chord sounds, and 12 house sounds, then make it yours. Explore evolving pads, animated basses, metallic plucks, expressive leads, bell-like keys, and experimental textures. The 54-sound Explorations bank includes tailored mod-wheel mappings and one-key melodic patterns. Three oscillators offer sine, triangle, saw, square, pulse, and noise waveforms with tuning from −5 to +5 octaves, level, and pulse-width controls. Play full chords with one key. Chord mode offers twelve chord types, root position and two inversions, close or open voicing, a note preview, and remote audition. Every key transposes the shape, and chord settings save with your presets. Turn held chords into moving patterns with seven arpeggiator modes: Up, Down, Up/Down, Down/Up, As Played, Random, and Chord Pulse. Set tempo, tap tempo, note rate, octave span, gate, swing, and latch from a dedicated panel. Arpeggiator settings save with your sounds. Stay in key with Key Lock. Choose any root and one of eight scales; out-of-key notes move to the nearest allowed pitch. It works with MIDI, remote keys, chords and arpeggios, while pitch bend and fine tuning stay expressive. Your key stays selected while browsing factory sounds and saves with your own presets. EXPAND YOUR COLLECTION Discover 450 additional presets in nine optional sound packs: Aurora Ambient, Neon Afterhours, Velvet House, Voltage Techno, Substance Bass, Horizon Cinema, Prism Keys, Orbit Sequences and Cosmic Playground. Each collection includes 50 sounds and its own interface color, with tailored modulation and effects. Packs are separate, one-time in-app purchases, not subscriptions. All 90 original presets and all synthesis controls remain free. Restore purchased packs on another Apple TV using the same Apple Account. SAVE YOUR OWN Build a personal library right on Apple TV. Name, load, rename, update, and delete up to 128 custom presets. Sounds save locally first and sync through iCloud when available, so they can follow you to another Apple TV using the same Apple Account. SHAPE AND MOVE Use separate amplitude and filter envelopes, a resonant multimode filter, and two flexible LFOs. Route each LFO to pitch, cutoff, amplitude, pan, or pulse width. FINISH WITH EFFECTS Two serial effect channels each offer chorus, flanger, delay, reverb, distortion, and tremolo. Every effect has clear, remote-friendly controls. MADE FOR PERFORMANCE TV Synth responds to velocity, sustain, pitch bend, and the modulation wheel. A dedicated Panic control safely releases all notes, while automatic reconnect gets a remembered Bluetooth MIDI keyboard ready quickly. Switch on Toddler Mode for a simpler play screen: large sound-selection buttons and a colorful live keyboard, with advanced controls hidden. Browse factory and saved sounds with the remote, then play using MIDI or the on-screen keyboard. PRIVATE AND SAMPLE-FREE TV Synth has no ads, third-party analytics or tracking, and requires no TV Synth account. Your music is generated on your Apple TV; saved presets can sync through Apple's iCloud. The sound engine works in real time and contains no recorded piano or instrument samples.
