Jotter 1.5 is all about feel: easier to get around, tidier everywhere, and lovelier on paper. EASIER TO GET AROUND - Swipe from the left edge to go back from a note. - "All notes" now stays at the start of the chip row, so you're always one tap from home. - Every sheet closes the same way, with a round × in the top corner. - Cancel a scan, drawing or recording you just started and you're back on your list, with no empty note left behind. - The Share button holds every way to send a note; the ••• menu holds what you do to it. PRETTIER PDFs - Exported PDFs now wear your theme: your title highlighter, checkboxes and cross-offs, tidy quote and code cards, and a calmer header and footer. POLISH - + New floats over your notes instead of cutting the list off. - List buttons say what they do: Add item, Untick and Clear. - Clearer names everywhere: Lists, Handwriting, Voice notes. - Headings and titles get their theme's mark, drawn in full. - Undo pops up in your theme's colours, and ticked items read better in Airmail. - iPad keeps your note wide in portrait. - Picking a night theme no longer overwrites your own Light or Dark choice. Jotter 1.4 is our biggest update yet: seven themes, each with a personality of its own. SEVEN THEMES - Classic: sticky notes and a yellow highlighter. The original. - Lamplight: writing by a desk lamp at 1 a.m. - Herbarium: a field book of pressed ferns. - Blueprint: the drafting table, grid and all. - Airmail: stamps, postmarks and an airmail stripe. - Washi: tape, stamps and rice paper. - Velvet: plum, gold leaf and wax seals. Each theme changes the colours, the type, the highlighter, the checkboxes, the sticky notes, the buttons and what happens when you finish a list. Choose one in Settings, and give your Home Screen icon the same look if you like. LISTS, WHEREVER YOU ARE - A new List widget: tick items off right on your Home Screen. - "Add eggs to Groceries in Jotter": Siri puts it on the list, above the items you've ticked. - A Last Note button for Control Center and the Action button, to pick up where you left off. NEW - Export every note from Settings, as Markdown files with their pictures, in a folder per folder. - Sharing a note as Markdown now brings its photos and drawings along. - Clear ticked items, then change your mind with Undo. - Add a link from the formatting panel, with a paste button. - A floating player for voice notes, so you can keep reading while one plays. - Widgets that look like Jotter: a sticky-note New Note, and list progress on Recent Notes. - Save text and Markdown files from the Share button straight into a note. A FRESH COAT - Tips sit at the top of Settings as sticky notes, and Settings shows when you last synced. - A cleaner Share sheet, voice recorder, folder editor and New sheet. - A note in Recently Deleted can be restored from right inside it. - Duplicating a note opens the copy. FIXES - Closing a drawing with unsaved strokes now asks first. - Typing after a picture starts with a capital letter again. - Backspace at the start of a checklist item behaves. - Text joined onto a picture line is no longer lost. - Undoing a delete or archive brings back the note's pin and reminder. - Notes edited on another device update the widgets and Search. - Right-to-left writing gets its quote bar on the correct side. - Very large text sizes keep the note's top line and list bar to one row. - Tags no longer run into the words beside them.
