Score a buck from one photo: a green score as an honest range, points you can drag, and his age. Tape him later for the exact net. The tape sheet is free forever.
Mainbeam gives you a green score for a whitetail or mule deer from one photo, then the exact number when you put a tape on him.
PHOTO ESTIMATE
• Take a photo, pick one from Photos, or bring in a trail cam picture.
• His ear tips are the ruler: about 16 inches apart on a whitetail, 21 on a mule deer.
• Mainbeam marks the ears, main beams and tines and shows the score as a range. One photo can't be exact, so it never pretends to be.
• Every point is drawn on the photo. Drag any of them and the score follows.
• If a read looks wrong, Mainbeam asks you to check the points before it shows a number. If there's no rack in the photo, it says so and your free score isn't used.
• Tape his inside spread and the range tightens.
• A field estimate of his age, given as a range such as 3½–4½ years.
• Several photos of the same buck this season are combined into one read.
TAPE SHEET, FREE FOREVER
• Enter your tape measurements and get gross and net scores with B&C, P&Y and SCI methods, typical and non-typical, for whitetail, mule deer and elk.
• A small drawing shows where each measurement goes.
• Side-to-side differences and abnormal points are worked out for you, and you see how he compares to the record-book minimums.
• Save the score sheet as a PDF.
• Works with no signal.
YOUR BUCK WALL
• Every buck, every season, every photo read and taped sheet in one place.
• A harvest tag image to share, with the county if you want it.
• No signal at the truck? Keep the photo and tap Read it now when you're back in range.
PRIVACY
• No account. No location permission.
• Your bucks and photos stay on your iPhone.
• A photo is sent to Google's Gemini model only if you allow it, with location and camera details removed first. Say no and you place the points yourself.
PLANS
• 5 photo scores free to start, and 2 more every week. The tape sheet, buck wall, tags and PDFs are always free.
• Mainbeam Pro, unlimited photo scores: Yearly $29.99, Monthly $9.99 or Weekly $3.99.
• Plans renew automatically unless cancelled in Settings at least 24 hours before the period ends. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. No free trial.
Photo scores are estimates, not official scores. Record-book entries need an official measurer, and B&C and P&Y require a 60-day drying period first.
