Handwritten notes, PDFs and a planner in one AI notebook for your iPad. Write with Apple Pencil, mark up a PDF, record a lecture while you write, and every note titles itself, files itself and stays searchable, your handwriting included.
A REAL PEN ON A REAL PAGE
- Five pen widths, a highlighter and three eraser sizes
- Lasso or box select to move, resize, duplicate or delete your ink
- Palm rejection switches itself on the first time a stylus touches the page
- Lined, grid, dotted or blank paper in white, cream or dark
- Pages with no size limit: fill one with as much writing as you like, then add the next with one tap
- Every page is saved on the iPad first and then synced, and the Save button shows you it's done
ANNOTATE PDFS AND IMAGES
Import a PDF, a document or an image and write on top of it, a page at a time, up to 500 pages. Lecture slides, worksheets, contracts, sheet music.
AI NOTE TAKING THAT FILES ITSELF
Each handwritten page is read back into text as you write. The note then takes a title, a short summary and one of your own folders. Nothing to name, nothing to file. Tidy turns a page into a clean typed document (headings, bullets, checklists, tables and maths) with your ink untouched underneath.
RECORD WHILE YOU WRITE
Record a lecture, a class or a meeting and keep writing. The recording attaches to the note and is transcribed, and the transcript is searchable with everything else.
A PLANNER THAT FITS YOUR DAY
Plan your day by voice or by hand. To-dos sit in Anytime, or in Morning, Midday, Afternoon and Evening, with the hours set to your own day, or at an exact time when you want one. Repeating to-dos come back on their own: birthdays every year, bills every month, the shop every week. Say "Vanessa's birthday is October 5th, rent is due on the 1st every month" and each one lands on its own date. The calendar shows every day's to-dos at a glance.
SEARCH, THEN ASK
Search covers what you typed, what you said and what you wrote by hand. Ask Folio answers questions from everything in your notebook, with the dates it drew from.
NO ACCOUNT, NOTHING TO SET UP
No sign-up, no email, no password. Every note lands in the day it happened. Pages you have opened stay readable without a signal.
TWO APPS, ONE NOTEBOOK
My Folio on the iPad is the notebook. My Folio Voice on your phone is the microphone you already carry. Pair them with a six-digit code and they share one notebook and one subscription.
YOUR NOTES STAY YOURS
Export a note or a whole day as a PDF: your handwriting goes out as pages, with the text read back from it as real, selectable text. Connect Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive for a nightly one-way backup that saves each note as a PDF in a My Folio folder. One row in Settings erases every note, page and recording from our servers. Your notes are never used to train models, never sold, and never used for advertising.
PRICING
Writing, drawing, PDF import and export, the planner and search are free. The free plan includes 25 AI actions a month. Starter and Pro subscriptions raise that: Starter for everyday use, and Pro with no monthly limit (fair use applies). Prices are shown in the app, in your currency. A subscription that lapses only puts you back on the free plan; no note turns read-only.
WHAT COUNTS AS AN AI ACTION
Reading a handwritten page back into text, tidying a page, transcribing a recording, planning your day by voice and asking your notebook a question. Writing, planning by hand, searching and exporting never count.
There is no version history yet: if you delete a note, it is deleted.
