Pip's Island is a calm maths companion for children aged 5 to 9. Your child looks after Pip, a small creature who grows as they learn, and builds an island by doing short maths sessions matched to the English National Curriculum, from Reception to Year 5: number sense, addition, subtraction, times tables and division, place value, fractions and shapes.
It was built first for children with ADHD and co-occurring autism, dyslexia and dyscalculia, and it is lovely for everyone.
A SESSION THAT FITS THE CHILD
• Two or three short rounds of four questions: about four to six minutes.
• The child chooses one of two activities each round.
• Every number is shown as well as written, with counters, bars and ten-frames.
• No timer, no fail state, no scores. Progress stones instead.
• Stop after the first round and still get full credit.
• Rewards you can predict: Pip grows and the island gains treasures. No loot boxes, no random prizes, no ads.
LEVEL, NOT AGE
A gentle placement over the first rounds finds the level your child is working at, whatever their age. Grown-ups can set it directly ("Working at: Year N"), so a child can work below or above their year group without it being a big deal.
CALM AND ACCESSIBLE
Low-Stim mode, motion, sound effects and haptics on or off, a dyslexia-friendly font (OpenDyslexic), high-contrast colours, session length and an extra-support mode. All free.
FOR GROWN-UPS
Behind a simple parental gate: a Growth Report for each child (this week against last week; sessions, questions and minutes; days played; how each strand is going, in plain words; what was practised; two tips for home), level control, an optional daily reminder, and subscription management.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account, no login, no adverts and no tracking. Your child's name, age and progress stay on your device; delete the app and they are gone. Works fully offline.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed or cancelled in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Family Sharing is supported. The free trial is available once per Apple Account.
