Quieter, and more yours. • A switch for the one notification PhotoMuse sends. In Settings, "Tell me when a check finishes" is on by default. Turn it off and PhotoMuse never sends a notification at all. • The overnight check now finishes without a sound. Its banner waits quietly for the morning. • A direct way into Large photos, so a link from the App Store can take you straight to your biggest photos. No photo is touched without you. Find the biggest photos, and make them smaller. • New pile: Large photos. RAW files, panoramas and very high-resolution shots, biggest first, with a RAW badge where it applies. Where "large" starts is yours to set in Settings. • Shrink Copies: select the big ones and tap Shrink. Each gets a smaller copy beside it — HEIC or JPEG, the same resolution or up to 12 MP, three quality levels — with the date, place, camera details and albums kept. You see the real saving, then keep the original or move it to Recently Deleted. A copy that wouldn't be meaningfully smaller isn't saved. Three shrinks are free to try; Plus does as many as you like. • Duplicates now pairs a camera's RAW file with its JPEG of the same shot. • Plus is on from the moment the app opens, even when the App Store can't be reached. Fix a wrong date, remove a location, or share a photo without the details. • Tap the Info button on any photo or video to change its date and time, or to remove its location — the same two things Photos lets you change. Camera clock an hour out on a trip? Select the photos in a pile and move them all at once; they keep their order. • Changed your mind? Info shows the date and place still stored in the file, and puts them back with one tap. • Edit Details & Save Copy: a new name, date, caption, author or copyright, with the location and camera details kept or left out. Apple does not let any app change an original, so the changes go into a copy saved beside it, and the original stays until you decide. The picture itself is copied as it is, not re-encoded. • Save a Clean Copy: no location, no camera or phone details, for sharing privately. Works for videos too. • Delete all in a group, next to Keep all. • A copy of the same picture now appears in Duplicates only, not in Similar shots as well. • The full-size view shows the file name, date and size. Fixes: Large videos opened the wrong video; a tap on the Keep badge sometimes opened the photo instead; an edited copy came out smaller than the original. No photo is touched without you. Clear a big pile a little at a time. • Similar shots, Duplicates and Bad shots now keep track of what you have looked at. Open a photo full size and swipe: each group you see in full is ticked "Reviewed". Delete then removes only what you reviewed, so a pile of thousands no longer asks for one decision about everything. • Swiping full size now carries on from one group into the next, with no trip back to the list after every group. • Happy with the picks? "Delete from all groups" is still there. Once everything is reviewed, the two buttons become one. • Closing the full-size view leaves the list where you stopped. No photo is touched without you. An important fix for Duplicates. • Duplicates could list different photos of the same scene as copies of one picture, and mark them to delete. It now lists a photo only when it really is the same picture saved again. The pile corrects itself the first time you open this version; you do not need to check the library again. • If you deleted photos from Duplicates recently, look in Photos > Recently Deleted. Share a clear-out, and redeem a code. • After you move photos out, the sheet that says where they went now has "Share this clear-out": a simple card with how many you cleared and how much room they took. No photo is on it, and nothing leaves your phone unless you send the card yourself. • Got an offer code? Settings now has "Redeem a code", and so does the PhotoMuse Plus screen. • The same sheet now says "videos" or "photos and videos" when that is what you moved. • A new name on the App Store: PhotoMuse: Similar Photos. Select everything, or nothing, in one tap. • Bad shots, Similar shots and Duplicates now have Select all and Deselect all at the top. Deselect all keeps everything; Select all puts each pile back the way it opened, with the best shot in every group still kept. • Finishing up in Photos is clearer. The button now opens Photos and says exactly where Recently Deleted is, and that Photos asks for Face ID or your passcode before showing it. Checking your library again now takes seconds, not minutes. • When photos are added or deleted, PhotoMuse looks only at what changed instead of the whole library again. On a large library that is the difference between a few seconds and a quarter of an hour. It happens on its own now; you can turn that off in Settings. The keep choices you made in a pile stay as you left them. • Checks finish while your phone charges. If you leave PhotoMuse before a check is done, it carries on the next time your phone is plugged in and not being used. On a large library, checking everything from scratch can be set for tonight instead of now. • Duplicates finds more copies: a photo saved again through Messages or WhatsApp is now found even when the same photo also has an exact copy. • After Enhance replaces a photo, it is looked at again everywhere, so its size and piles stay right. • The home screen says when your library was last brought up to date, and what changed. • Photos in the piles load at the size they are shown, so scrolling through thousands of them is lighter. Piles open quickly again — and the scan keeps going. • If you had PhotoMuse before the last update, the change that made a pile open in a moment never actually reached you. It is filled in quietly now, in the background, without scanning anything again. • The screen stays on while your library is being looked through. It used to go dark after a minute and the work stopped with it — on a large library that meant it never finished. Leaving the app still pauses it, your place is kept, and the line under the progress bar now says roughly how long is left. • Similar shots and duplicates are looked for starting from your newest photos, so on a big library there is something worth acting on within seconds — you can open a pile and start while the rest is still being checked. • On libraries of 2,000 photos or more, PhotoMuse can tell you when it has finished looking, if you allow notifications. • Fixed: checking the whole library again could freeze PhotoMuse until it was closed. The button for it in Settings also waits now until a running check has finished, and says why. • Fixed: opening a very large pile of similar shots or duplicates could close the app. • Scanning a large library is quicker, and photos smaller than your screen are no longer fetched again every time you open them. Fixes from the first week, all found on real phones with real libraries. • Photos now appear everywhere they should. On a library kept in iCloud, some piles showed grey placeholders instead of your pictures. • Big libraries no longer start over. If iOS closed PhotoMuse while it was still looking through tens of thousands of photos, all of that work was lost and it began again from the start. It now carries on where it stopped. • Opening a pile is much faster — a moment instead of a long wait on a large library. The whole scan is quicker too. • Searching is built after the piles you are looking at have finished, so they are no longer slowed down by it.
