Turn speech into text on your Mac with Voice Dictate. A downloaded Gemma model processes recordings locally; audio and transcripts are not sent to a speech API. FREE - Verbatim dictation and an editable transcript with Copy. - Up to 30 seconds per recording and 5 minutes total per UTC day. - Microphone selection, recording levels, and cancellation. VOICE DICTATE PRO Unlock Pro once with an in-app purchase. No subscription. - Longer recordings, with a 60-minute safety stop and no daily quota. - Polished English, Original Language, and Developer modes. Both tiers include the same local model, first-use download, compatible update checks, and offline transcription after installation. The initial model download is approximately 5.18 GB. Requires an Apple Silicon Mac and macOS 26.2 or later. Copy is available in both tiers; this release does not type into other apps.
