A German New Year's Eve tradition, simulated in 3D: melt the metal over a candle, pour it into water, turn the figure and see what its shadow shows you.
In Germany, New Year's Eve means Bleigießen: melting a little piece of metal over a candle, dropping it into cold water and guessing what the strange figure's shadow looks like. Real lead-pouring kits have been banned in the EU since 2018. Molten Fortune keeps the tradition alive as a physics-based 3D simulation – no lead, no fumes, no burnt tablecloth.
HOW IT WORKS
• Hold the spoon over the candle flame – the metal melts and glows
• Keep heating and it flows more smoothly
• Tilt your iPhone, swipe down or tap Pour – it hisses, steams and freezes in the water
• Turn the figure with your finger and watch its shadow on the wall change
• What do you see? Molten Fortune recognizes 24 shadow shapes, from ship and bell to clover and anchor
EVERY FIGURE IS ONE OF A KIND
• The shape is generated procedurally from your pour: heat, swing and direction all change the result
• Real 3D with metallic shine, light and shadow – not pre-made pictures
• 72 readings written just for this app, playful and for entertainment only
GROUP ROUND FOR THE PARTY
• 2 to 8 people: enter the names, pass the phone around, everyone pours once
• At the end you get one shared result card for the whole group
• "Tonight's figures" gallery, sorted by evening
• Share as an image card or a 9:16 clip
PRIVATE
• Everything is calculated on your iPhone
• No account, no server, no ads, no tracking
Your first 3 pours are free. A one-time purchase unlocks the full version: unlimited pours, group rounds as often as you like, every figure saved in your gallery. No subscription, no renewal.
The readings are a bit of New Year's fun – a tradition, not a prediction.
