Siksai Taigi helps you learn Taiwanese (台語) and actually remember it.
Build a deck of your own flashcards, review a little each day, and let spaced repetition decide what to show you and when. Cards you find easy come back less often. Cards you struggle with come back sooner. That is what makes vocabulary stick.
Real recorded Taiwanese audio, built in Thousands of Taiwanese words come with genuine recorded pronunciation from the Ministry of Education dictionary, not synthesised speech. It is bundled with the app, so it works with no setup and no internet connection.
Tâi-lô and POJ Taiwanese is written with Hanzi plus a romanization that shows the pronunciation. Siksai Taigi supports both Tâi-lô (the official system from Taiwan's Ministry of Education) and POJ, and converts between them. Search finds a word however it is spelled.
Made for Mandarin speakers, and for everyone else Choose the language you already speak from 34 options, shown in their own scripts. Mandarin speakers can pick whether they read pinyin or zhuyin. Your cards and explanations follow that choice.

Optional AI features, using your own key If you add your own free Google Gemini key, you also get a dictionary that turns lookups straight into cards, a teacher you can ask about grammar and usage, and card creation from a topic, a photo or a voice note. These are entirely optional, and the app tells you exactly what is sent before the first request.
Your data stays yours No account. No server. No analytics. No tracking. Your cards live on your device, and the export feature means you always keep your own backup.
Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
- Traditional Chinese is now fully translated. The main menu, the statistics screen and parts of card editing were still appearing in English.
- If your language is Traditional Chinese, the app now starts you on 注音 Zhuyin rather than Pinyin. Both are still available in Settings.
- Fixed: after accepting the AI privacy notice, the first request needed a second tap.
