Pro launch price until Oct 31! Buy once, no subscription. “Storage Almost Full”? Shrink photos and videos instead of deleting memories—see how much you’ll free first.
Pro is at its launch price until October 31, 2026; the price goes up on November 1. A one-time purchase, not a subscription.
Free: shrink 20 photos and 1 video a day, and bulk-clean 10 items a day. Scanning, estimates, undo, deleting one by one and removing location data have no limit. Pro removes the daily limits.
“Storage Almost Full” — solved without deleting your memories.
Album Diet shrinks your photos and videos in bulk and gives the space back.
And it tells you how much you’ll get before you start.
■ Press once, and see what you’ll get back
Just tap Scan. It goes through your iPhone and picks out only the photos and videos that will genuinely get smaller under your current settings.
・Photos that are already small aren’t counted
・Nothing is shrunk twice
・“About 3.2 GB will be freed” appears before you decide
Because you see the result first, you never give up quality for nothing.
■ Videos are usually what’s eating the space
A single clip shot in 4K can weigh as much as a hundred photos.
・Pick a preset (Everyday / Social / Chat and email / Keep the quality / As small as possible)
・Or set it yourself: resolution, quality, codec, frame rate, audio
・Play each one and trim off the parts you don’t need
・Audio is copied across untouched, so it never degrades
■ Keep one shot from each burst
It finds the bursts you took by holding the shutter. In Photos they look like a single image, so you can’t tell how many there are until you open one.
Keep one and delete the rest: the size drops with no loss of quality at all. It’s the best-value cleanup there is.
・Choose what to keep — iPhone’s pick, the first shot, or the last
・Go burst by burst and change the pick
・Favorites and edited photos are never deleted
■ Find what you can let go of, all at once
Beyond shrinking, there are tools for clearing out what you don’t need. None of them touch image quality.
・Similar photos: keep the best shot when you took the same scene several times
・Screenshots: delete old ones in one go (favorites are kept)
・Live Photos: keep the photo, drop just the 3-second video that plays when you touch and hold
・Largest first: pick the photos and videos taking up the most space
・Your iPhone’s free space is always shown at the top
■ What happens to the originals is your call
Keep them and you simply gain copies — no space is freed. Delete them and it is. The app says so plainly, on screen.
・Photos default to “Keep”, videos to “Delete”
・Deleting always asks first
・Deleted items sit in Photos’ “Recently Deleted” for 30 days
・Photo conversions can also be undone from inside the app
■ Your record of the shot stays intact
Date, location and camera settings are carried over. The order in Photos and the map still work.
For sending things on, you can also make a copy with just the location and device details removed. That one never touches the pixels, so the quality is exactly the same.
■ Your photos never leave your iPhone
Neither photos nor videos ever leave your iPhone. Everything happens on the device — there is no server, and no account to create. Only the Pro purchase goes through the App Store.
■ Who it’s for
・You’re out of space and can’t take another photo
・You don’t want to delete memories, and don’t have time to sort them
・You’d rather try this before paying for more iCloud
・Videos of the kids or of trips have filled the phone
・You have piles of burst shots you never went back to
The basics are free (up to 20 photos and 1 video a day). Pro lets you shrink and tidy up as many as you like at once — a one-time purchase you keep forever, not a subscription. No ads.
Ratings & Reviews
This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
■ New in 1.4.3
・Now supports iPhone Duo. Layouts adjust to the screen’s size and orientation so everything is easy to see
・In “Choose photos”, “Largest first”, “Choose videos” and “Choose from albums”, tapping the middle of a photo or video now opens its details too (the top-right mark opens “View larger”, the bottom-right circle selects it). On the details screen, swipe left or right to move to the previous or next photo or video
・On short screens, such as in landscape, “Convert this photo” now stays at the bottom of the screen so you can tap it right away
・On wide screens such as iPad, cards and text no longer stretch too far across the screen
■ Fixed in 1.4.2
・In “Choose by date taken”, tapping the middle of a photo or video sometimes toggled its selection circle or opened “View larger” instead of its details. Now the top-right mark opens it full screen, the bottom-right circle selects it, and anywhere else opens its details
■ New in 1.4.1
・“Delete Without Converting” in “Selected photos”: delete photos you’d rather get rid of than shrink, all at once
・“By size” in “Choose photos to shrink”: pick a size such as 1 MB or 3 MB and select every photo that size or larger at once
・“Take a 3-min break every 5 min” while converting: let your iPhone rest during long conversions
・Tap the photo on a photo’s detail screen to view it full screen and zoom in
■ Fixes
・In “Choose by date taken”, tapping “Select this whole day” could open a different photo or video instead
・The selection circles on photos and videos in “Choose by date taken” were hard to tap
・Selecting a whole day of videos could also select other videos
・The screen could close while you were choosing, losing your selection
・On screens such as “Similar photos” and “Screenshots”, tapping just next to a button no longer opens a photo or changes its selection by mistake
■ Introducing Album Diet Pro
Shrinking as many photos and videos as you like at once, and tidying up similar photos and screenshots in bulk, are now part of Pro. Buy it once and keep it forever — it's not a subscription. Family Sharing is supported.
・Even for free, you can shrink 20 photos and 1 video a day, and tidy up 10 at once
・Scanning, estimates, choosing, deleting one at a time, undo and removing personal data stay free forever
・If you installed the app by version 1.3, you keep everything as before — no purchase needed
