FirePlace Duo turns your iPhone into a cozy bedside companion: a flickering fireplace, recorded fireplace sound, a clear clock and optional weather, all in a calm, uncluttered space.
SETTLE IN
Enjoy a looping fireplace video and recorded fireplace sound. The fire, sound and clock work offline, so your quiet moment does not depend on a connection.
YOUR EVENING, YOUR WAY
Pause the fire, choose a still image or turn the sound off. Set a sleep timer for 15, 30, 60 or 120 minutes. When it ends, playback pauses and your display can sleep normally. Keep the display awake during an active session when you want a bedside clock.
WEATHER AT A GLANCE
Choose one of the listed cities or opt into your location for current conditions and a three-day forecast from Apple Weather. Switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit. Weather is optional, and the fireplace works without location permission.
MAKE IT YOUR NIGHTSTAND
On iPhone Duo with iOS 27.1, Automatic adapts to the open display and active fold regions. Use a tabletop fold to place the fire above your clock and forecast, with a soft amber glow below. Standard iPhones retain manual Tabletop and Side by side arrangements where space permits.
Choose Always show clock & weather in Settings to keep the readout visible. Otherwise, it fades after 30 seconds of playback; tap the fire to bring it and the controls back.
SIMPLE BY DESIGN
No account, advertisements, subscriptions or in-app purchases. Your display settings and saved weather stay on your device. Privacy details and support are available in Settings.
A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
Live weather requires internet access. Automatic updates are normally about six hours apart while the app is open, and manual refreshes are limited. Saved weather is available offline for up to 24 hours after its last update; clearly labeled sample conditions may appear when live weather is unavailable. Current location is a one-time choice: select it again when you want to update your place after travel.
Sound follows playback, is audible even when the iPhone Silent switch is on, and stops when you leave the app. Still image and Reduce Motion pause the fire and silence the sound. The sleep timer ends an ambient session; it is not a wake-up alarm.

Keep the clock and weather visible with Always show clock & weather, or let the display fade to the fire and tap to bring the controls back. This update also includes smoother fireplace playback and recorded crackle sound.
